At the Kaguya Mansion
Shinobu POV:
"Welcome, my children," Oyakata-sama said, "I'm pleased you could all make it."
Everyone bowed respectfully. I had asked if I could stand with Mitsuri, farthest from Giyu, who was on the side as usual.
"I won't take up much more of your time," the Master said, "What's going to happen is like this: Each Hashira will teach everyone their specialty and together you will improve. I don't mind which order you go in. Everyone has already been assigned, so I shouldn't need to go through that. I trust that you already have your lessons planned. You may use the grounds at the Kaguya Mansion, and when it is dinnertime, I will have a picnic table set up. But before I leave you to it, how was the sleepover last night?"
"It was lovely, Oyakata-sama," Mitsuri spoke up quickly, "The food was sensational."
"The Butterfly Estate was very flamboyant!" Tengen added.
"I had a great time!" Rengoku grinned.
Of course, they were lying. Although the food was good, but everyone only remembered what had happened. I prayed no-one would mention it.
Of course, no-one did. Not even Sanemi.
"That's great to hear," The master said, "You should all do it more often. I'll make sure there are no missions for you today. Hopefully there are no emergencies."
"Excuse me, Master," I spoke up, "Would you like my cook to prepare dinner?"
"It's alright, Shinobu," Oyakata-sama smiled, "I've got it under control."
"Well then," he said, "I'll let you get to it! I'll check in tommorow. Good luck!" And with that he and his two wisteria children were gone, leaving the Hashiras standing awkwardly.
Author POV:
"Um... so who wants to go first?" Mitsuri asked, attempting to get the others to talk.
"I will flamboyantly go first!" Tengen said, stepping out from the group.
"I will be teaching sparring! Swords skills!" Tengen said proudly. "Some of you may not use a katana as your main weapon but it's useful to know how to properly work with one since they are the more common weapon between the Corps.."
Every Hashira unsheathed their katana with Tengen, who teached them how to jab, wield and slice with their sword in the best way. By the end of his session, everyone was a little better at handling their sword, especially Gyomei.
Next, Rengoku taught speed.
Now, he could be a little slower actually than some of the more powerful pillars, but he had his own tricks and little movements that adjusted his speed of his movements. After he finished training everyone, they were all able to move faster. Mitsuri was the star student.
Iguro gave a lesson on offense. How to find the enemy's weak spot easier, how to close in on a wide target range, and so forth. They used fake demon dummies for practice. Needless to say, Giyu was the best at it, but Iguro wouldn't admit it and just deemed Rengoku the star.
Sanemi went next, teaching/torturing everyone how to get stronger. The rough wind pillar made everyone destroy bricks and tear dummies to shreds. Gyomei was the leading Hashira, with a record of 10 dummies in 5 seconds.
Mitsuri taught everyone flexibility, and Shinobu helped her out with getting them to listen to her. Mitsuri's lesson ended up being the one nobody was especially good at, except for Shinobu. All the other male pillars specialized in power, speed, etc, and although they weren't not flexible, they weren't especially flexible either. By the end of the lesson, everyone was able to twist and bend their body at better angles to achieve more results.
