Author POV:

"So. Shigeru!" Mitsuri said cheerfully, "Why don't you make rounds to us? We'd all love to chat with you!"

"Yes!" Shigeru laughed, "I'll make my way to everyone."

He ended up chatting to every single Hashira, even Sanemi. He had made Shinobu feel comfortable and managed to make Sanemi respect him, at least. Even Iguro was open to him. But everytime Shigeru tried to talk to Giyu, the water pillar would ignore him.

Usually Shinobu would have killed for the chance to tease Giyu in front of a new Hashira, but now, she just ignored it.

Mitsuri POV:

Good.

Everything was going smoothly, just as I hoped. Shinobu seemed really comfortable and her normal self with Shigeru. Giyu wasn't opening up to him, but it was fine since the plan would get complicated if Giyu and Shigeru became friends...

I had chosen the perfect guy for the job. Shigeru (or Hiroshi, his real name) was super friendly and got along with anyone.

Shinobu POV:

After my turn with Shigeru, I immediantly felt at ease. He was kind, funny, and a great person in general. He made me feel like I was everything.

A warm feeling in my chest, except I had no idea what it was. I had only ever felt this sometimes with Tomioka-san, before. I now realise it was probably a crush. A silly one. We could never be together. He hates me. I might even hate him now.

But Shigeru.. he seemed like the perfect guy. Kind, charming, handsome, powerful. The dream guy.

I never thought I would love someone like that. Shigeru made me feel special. But a part of it felt wrong, a little queasy, but I couldn't tell why.

Perhaps Shigeru could be the solution I was looking for all this time..
