Author POV (ft. Mitsuri):
The love pillar lay in bed, the soft pink silk cushion hugging her head.

Mitsuri lay wide awake, thinking about her latest ship, Giyushino.

Of course, she was very angry at Tomioka for making her best friend cry! Unforgivable! But oh, she would forgive him for the ship.

The two were just perfect for eachother, the definition of 'bickering couple'! KYAA! So cute! The well-known matchmaker Mitsuri would definetly get them together, no matter what it took.

But Giyu was denser than anyone, and Shinobu was too wrapped up in guilt to learn what her feelings were. Not to mention the terrible fight they were having. Mitsuri would just have to work a little harder to get them together.

Suddenly, like ideas do, one beautiful bright, romantic idea popped into Mitsuri's head.

Mitsuri knew that Tengen Uzui, sound pillar, was known for his gossiping. Of course, Mitsuri was the biggest romance gossiper, but Tengen was a close call. The love pillar was sure he would want to help, even if it was just to make things normal between them again.

Also, every pillar was now a little scared of Giyu. Whenever they saw him, they tended to quickly go somewhere else, avoiding him. The way Giyu had knocked out one of the strongest Hashiras was beyond the power they thought he held.

Still, even with Tengen's help, how would she get them together? No other great ideas came to head. Mitsuri Kanroji, the great matchmaker and love pillar, was finally stuck on ideas..

But then she remembered what she always did when her brain wasn't functioning. Eat! Delicious food! Sakura mochi!

So Mitsuri quietly got out of bed and tiptoed to the kitchen, where she found leftover mochi from dinner. There was no sakura mochi, sadly- Mitsuri had ate it all at dinner- but there was a plate of a few strawberry cream mochis left, and they were almost as good as sakura mochis.

Mitsuri took the plate and munched on the chewy, soft mochi while she thought.

Halfway through the plate, Mitsuri got the best idea.

It would be so romantic if the cold water pillar got jealous for Shinobu! The best plan sprang into the love pillar's head- get someone she knew to pretend to be a Hashira, and then get together with Shinobu. Giyu would feel jealous if he saw Shinobu with someone else! And then, well, love would run it's course...

Mitsuri gobbled up the last of the strawberry mochi and set about her plan.

Little did she know, it would be the biggest mistake in her career as a matchmaker.
