Author POV:
"Please.. Tomioka-san.....," Shinobu grasped his pale hand tightly, tears dripping down her face, "Wake up... I'm sorry... please..
Don't die on me."
Giyu's haori was soaked in tears. Naomi was watching, amused, a few feet away.
"Ugh.. listen to me.. wake UP!" Shinobu shouted. Fustration and panic made her heartbeat race faster than ever. It was just like with Kanae. The feeling of gripping someone's hand in their last moments, yet not being able to do anything.
"I'm sorry.. please, don't die on me.. not you too. I... Tomioka-san... I love you..," Shinobu whispered into his ear, placing a hand on his chest. His heartbeat was slowing.
"Sh-Shinobu..." Giyu suddenly whispered back, "You... don't die on me.. either." And with that, his heartbeat finally stopped.
"NO!" Shinobu wailed and started commencing CPR desperately. Her tears could fill an ocean, they just dripped down nonstop. Giyu's body was lifeless and sagged like a doll in her arms.
The same gut-wrenching realisation dropped down on Shinobu like a rock as she dropped her arms and stopped CPR. The exact same feeling as when Kanae died in her arms. The realisation that they are dead and nothing will ever bring them back.
My poison killed him.
If it wasn't for me, he might have won the battle. Everything would be normal. If I hadn't interferred...
There is no point in mourning. No point in crying over his dead body, Shinobu told herself firmly, All you can do is do the same you have been doing your entire life for Kanae. Live for revenge.
Live to kill them.
