Nevaeh Pov
Over the water, we moved through the nets. My little sister Tuk was gigging and jumping up and down on it since it was so bouncy. At her, I smiled. Tsireya showed us our hut after a time of walking. "your new home." she said As she dumped our belongings. I told her, "Thank you." I was incredibly touched by her kindness. She replied, "Your welcome," spreading a big smile across her face. I smiled back at her and introduced myself as Nevaeh. Tsireya remarked, "It's a lovely name," she said as she turned to leave. yeah this will work, our father informed us. He sighed, "This is wonderful right this is lovely." "When we all entered, my mother dropped her bag and let out a big sigh.
I heard our father calling for a family gathering after we had all finished putting our belongings in our huts. "All right, sullys all in" our father said. " Remember, family meeting" Neteyam added as he seated himself next to Lo'ak and took him by the arm. I joined them in their seats. I called her, "kiri," telling her to take a seat next to me. She was irritated. Our father said, staring at us, "okay." "I need you kids to be at your best. I mean it!" Our father spoke while giving Neteyam a direct glance. "Pull your weight quickly. avoid trouble alright "When he turned to face me and lo'ak, he said that. " got it?" Me and Lo'ak said, "Yes, sir." The truth is that I always found it simple to follow my father's lead when I was younger, but as I grew older, he began to spend more time with Neteyam. He was his favourite, and I could tell that he really loved him. I mean, I never really understood why, but I've always assumed it had something to do with the fact that he was a boy and because he was going to be the future leader. As a little child, I was just hanging out with my mother, but when Kiri and Tuk came into the family, I felt as though I had been forgotten. And as I got older, I barely got to spend time with my mom or dad. Because Lo'ak understood, I always spoke to him about it half the time. Since our father always compares Lo'ak to Neteyam and Lo'ak gets upset by it, that is actually how we became so close.
Tuk cried, "I want to go home," as I zoned off. I watched her as she stared me with tear-filled eyes. The other problem is that I wanted to go home as well, but I knew that staying here would be best for us. I overheard our mother say, "Oh Tuk." Our father sighed and said, "Tuk.. this is our house now," continuing in a gentle voice. "We are going to get through this if we have each other's backs." This isn't our home, I thought as I heard those words. I gazed at the ground and then closed my eyes. What does your father always say? our mother asked. I muttered, "Sullys stick together," and so did my siblings. Our father looked at us and said, "Now this time with some feelings." We all said, "Sullys stick together." As I patted her shoulder and gazed at her, I heard Kiri say it again and realised she was frustrated. but she returned the smile.
Tsireya, Rotxo, and Aonung were going to teach us how to swim in the water when we got up later in the morning. They all three dove into the water. So I jumped. jumping into the water with my siblings. I turned to face my siblings as we all laughed at one another. I noticed all the sea life while I was swimming; this time, the animals were small but lovely, and they had gorgeous colors surrounding them. I couldn't keep back my sigh, so I swam up and gasped. As I finally caught up to my siblings, I saw Tsireya, Rotxo and Aonung were swimming considerably deeper than we were. gliding easily through the water. When my siblings and I followed them down, I noticed Tsireya smiling and staring up at us.
We made an effort to stay up, but the Metkayina teens were moving quickly. I became out of air as we continued to swim down; I looked up and quickly surfaced. I finally pulled my head out of the water and let out a loud gasp for breathe. My brothers and little sister Tuk were already up there. My silbings inhaled and followed Tsireya as she swam down. This is more difficult than I imagined. My siblings have already adapted to this, but I haven't. My little sister complained, "Your too fast wait for us," as we reached to the surface. "Just breathe" Tsireya whispered comfortingly. Before I could come up with anything else to say, Aonung added, "Your not good divers... maybe good at swining through trees," and he chuckled. I rolled my eyes and thought, "I despise this guy so much." I was about to say something to him when I remembered that our father had instructed us to treat them nicely. Tsireya hit the back of Roxto's hand as he laughed. I chuckled. "Come on bro" I overheard Lo'ak say.
Neteyam responded, "We don't speak this finger talk, we don't understand what you're saying. finger talk? Do we really need to learn to use our fingers and swim? I thought. Tsireya continued, "I will teach you. Before I could come up with anything, I saw Kiri wasn't around when I glanced at my younger sister Tuk. I worriedly asked my brothers, "Where is Kiri?" I overheard Aonung remark, "who." Kiri, my sister, I shrieked furiously. My brothers hurriedly looked around.. I overheard my younger sister remark, "Kiri." What the hell happened to her? If her father knew, it would be the end of me. How did I even not see her? My brothers assured me that she is fine and is likely swimming around when I became extremely concerned. when I was swimming I discovered her wandering off under the waves after that. the animals had overwhelmed her. I was glad to hear she was fine. I gave her a hug as soon as she stepped off the surface and said, "Kiri." I warned her, "Never go alone." She chuckled and said, "Vi, it was so wonderful." I was glad she was alright.
