Tsireya took us to explore more of the water a few days later. My sisters were alongside me as I went on my llu. We then broke through the surface of the water and surfaced. I let in some fresh air and took a deep breath to adapt to being back in the water. "We are here" Tsireya said. "Woah," I exclaimed, stunned by the beauty of what I was witnessing. Neteyam then smiled at me, and I given back the smile. "This is the ancestor's cove. Our most sacred place "Tsireya turned around and informed us. I then looked at Kiri and Tuk, who were equally amazed. Tsireya told us that "the eclipse is the best time to be here." I then turned to face the sky, my hand covering my face from the sun. It then shone brightly before fading away. I adored it when it was dark and you could see the stars. I've always been fascinated by the stars because my father is from one called "Earth." When I was younger, my father used to talk about it a lot with me because I was always curious, but now we don't talk about it much anymore. To shake the thought off, I heard Tsireya speak "this is the spirt tree." I then looked down to see the dark waters and a lightened bright blue from underneath us. Then I got off my liu like everyone else and we started swimming down to the spirit tree. Before entering, I took a deep breath. I then swam into the water, following the others. As we continued our journey to the spirit tree, I noticed sea creatures glowing. Tsireya then pointed to the pink area on the tree. Kiri then approached it and moved closer to the tree. She closed her eyes and held out her braid. I then moved closer to the spirit tree and repeated the process while closing my eyes. When my eyes opened, I realised where I was. It was me and my parents in my favourite memory when I first caught the fish. I smiled because that was the moment when it was only me and them, and I saw myself smiling with my parents. "Thank you, great Mother," I said, grateful for the opportunity to see this again. I then opened my eyes and smiled. Kiri then began shaking a few minutes later. My heart dropped. Neteyam and I dashed over to her. She was cut off from the tree. I was terrified by what I was seeing. My heart began to beat faster. The more tense I became. We then descended from the surface of the water I then heard Neteyam say "Come on, Neteyam!" I then assisted him in swimming over to his liu. I was confused and concerned about what was going on. "Kiri," Tuk yelled back, and I took tuk on my side so she would be with me. "Don't worry, Tuk, she's gonna be alright" tuk then looked at me with anxious eyes. The truth is I don't know if she will. I thought with the nervous feeling in my stomach. Neteyam then attempted to assist Kiri in breathing, but she continued to struggle. "Get her to the village," Tsireya instructed. Neteyam followed with his liu and kiri, and I followed with tuk beside me. I was praying to Ewya that Kiri would be fine.
