Nevaeh Pov
The next few days, Lo'ak always disappeared and me and neteyam, as well as tsireya and rotxo aonung, knew exactly where he was. As a result, we all agreed to follow him the next day. We followed him outside the reef the next morning. We arrived at a very firmly and devoid ocean. Lo'ak was swimming in front of Payakan when I noticed him. The next thing we noticed was Payakan opening his mouth wide and wide open. Lo'ak swam inside and got inside. The tulkun closed its mouth when he was inside his mouth. Neteyam tried to swim quickly, hoping that the tulkun would spit his brother back. Tsireya grabbed his arm and motioned for him to wait. I also attempted to swim back to Lo'ak, but Aonung instructed me to wait, so I trusted him but was still terrified of what could happen to my brother. Lo'ak reappeared after a while. His sad expression broke my heart. Lo'ak then reached back up and hugged Payakan. My brother adores and cares for him, but no one seems to understand him. Then something happened. Aonung and Tsireya knew they couldn't hide the fact that lo'ak had bonded with Payakan from their parents. we followed them to Ronal and Tonowari, and I had a bad feeling about what was going to happen. When they arrived, Ronald declared "You allowed this?" "You allowed him to bond with the outcast," she fumed. I then looked at Lo'ak as our parents approached, knowing that this was going to be terrible. Tonowari said furiously, "Tsireya.." Tsireya's eyes were downcast as she paid attention to her father. "You have disappointed me, daughter." My expression was sad for Tsireya because I knew how she felt. "And you?" he asked, pointing to Lo'ak. "son of a great warrior who has learned better." Payakan saved my life, sir; you don't know him." Lo'ak elaborated. "No lo'ak," tsireya said solemnly. As we were all standing, Tonowari stated, "Sit sit." he told lo'ak. " SIT DOWN!" I sat quickly in fear because I had never heard him yell like that before. We all sat down, and I sat next to neteyam and lo'ak. tonowari explained why Payakan was an outcast, but Lo'ak continued to deny it. "I'm sorry, sir, but you're wrong," Lo'ak stated emphatically. I then looked at Lo'ak, then at the ground, knowing that my parents would be furious at him now. "Lo'ak, you're speaking to the olo'eyktan," my mother told him. "I know," Lo'ak said as he returned her gaze. "I know what I know," lo'ak signed as he returned his gaze to the ground. "That's Enough!" With a stern voice, our father said. I overheard him say, "I'll deal with this one." Then our father firmly grasped Lo'ak's arm and yanked him away from there. I then looked at Neteyam, and when he glanced back, my heart broke because there was nothing that I could do.
