Chapter 11: Forgiveness

Fatima gets in her car and calls Andi.

Andi answers. "Hey girl, what's up?" 

"Hey. Did you know Zac, the guy we met in Orlando, is my realtor?"

"No, I didn't. But that's good, right?"

"Not really. I mean I think I made him upset."

"Oh, gosh Fatima. What did you do?"

"Nothing. He just kept flirting with me and I just shut him down." 

"I thought you liked him. You did sleep with him on the first night." Andi jokes.

"Yeah, whatever. I'm just not..."

"Ready for a relationship? Tima who said anything about a relationship. You said the sex was good so just make it about that."

"Andi. You have been hanging around Lori too much."

"I know right. What am I saying?" Says Andi. Just call him, apologize, and beg him to be your realtor again. Be nice Fatima."

"Yes, mama Andi. I will call him."

Fatima gets home around 4:00. She takes a shower and then calls Zac.

"Hello." Zac answers.

"Hey this Fatima. Sorry about earlier. I know I can be a bit much at times."

"Yeah, you can."

"How can I make it up to you?"

"You can let me take you out again."

"I brought the food home from earlier. You can come over and have it for dinner?"

"Wait! Are you inviting me over to your house?"  Zac says jokingly.

"Are you still my realtor?

"I wasn't going to give you up that easy. Text me your address. I am own my way."

Fatima text Zac her address.

After about 30 minutes Zac arrives. He brought Fatima flowers.

"Aww this is nice of you." said Fatima. "Come in." 

"Thanks."

"Let's hurry up and eat, I'm starving, since I didn't get to eat lunch." Fatima jokes.

They go into the kitchen, warm up their plates, and sit at the dining room table.

"This is a nice place. Do you own it?"

"I do but I was thinking about airbnb?"

"You should rent it out. If you want, I could help you with that."

"I would like that."

"Question Fatima. Why didn't you hit me back after Orlando?"

"I don't want to get emotionally involved with anyone right now."

"May I ask what happened?" asks Zac.

"My ex cheated on me with my sister." Fatima says annoyed.

"Wow! I didn't expect that. Why do one man always mess it up for all the rest?" he asked.

Ian and Fatima were in a relationship for 3 years. She met him through his mom. One day his mom was her client when she was a personal injury attorney. His mom asked him to come to the office to pick her up after an appointment. That was her way to introduce them. They begin to date. Everything was going well. They had got engaged and were going to move in together. He had met Madea, Aunt Hattie, and Crystal. One day Fatima had to go out of town for a work trip. Crystal had agreed to house sit for her. When she got back, a day early, she sees Ian and Crystal fucking in her guest bedroom. That was the end of their relationship and sistership. A few months ago, Fatima has started going to therapy to help her get over what happened and eventually accept love again.
