LTM MUSINGS

'Holy fuck, this is beautiful.' Eda exclaimed in delight like a child. Serkan couldn't help but admire her excitement and the smile that was more than enough to add some light to his grim life. Little did he know, the smile was a shining ray of hope in both of their lives.
At that moment, under the gaze of stars and full moon, both Eda and Serkan completely forgot about their inhibitions. The only reality that Eda could register was that she was amalgamated by those glistening diamonds in the sky.

Memories of their dark past, pain, and revenge was forgotten.
"Not more than you" He uttered calmly, still staring at her in awe.
"That's cheesy please don't say that"

"Ne?! I mean it, you are beautiful. In fact, you are the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on." He told her honestly and held her hand firmly.
"Every man says that to the woman he's fucking." She shrugged after laying down on the ground.

"Hayir, men only say that to the woman who deserves it."

"Why are acting so nice" She took her time to say that. It's been days and he had been showing the best of behavior. She got the point that he was being kind after what she has been through but she had told him that her head was totally in the right space, especially after they managed to get hold of her attacker. She was not used to this sweet, gentle Serkan.
"Maybe I am or maybe because I'm tired of fighting with you" He answered cheekily after joining her on the ground, adjusting the pillows to their comfort.

"Too bad, I'm not."
"Should I leave then and let you enjoy the start gazing?" He got up immediately, not out of the offense but in consideration of her state of mind. Serkan had had detailed conversations with Eda's psychologist. She kept most of the information discreet but it was important for him to know about certain things. Serkan did not much about this woman but he did know that her mental health was extremely important.
Given that, he wanted to do everything to not just protect her but also help her fix insomnia, even if meant finding excuses to be with her in the same bed. It was not hard to see that he helped sleeping but he never brought that up. Instead, he was always there by her side every single night.
"Stay" Eda held him by his arm and looked into his eyes. "Thank you for this"

"Are you happy?" He asked her after a couple of minutes. She was so lost, staring at the sky with mirth in her eyes. He had never seen her like this and oh man, the sight was even better than the one she made while having sex with him.

"I'm better" She replied without looking at him. "We should come here more often."
"We?" Did she just suggest visiting this place with him "often?" This was too much for Serkan Bolat. The crazy witch not only smiled at him but also suggested spending more time together.

"Don't start thinking too highly of yourself."
"I was about to, thanks for the disclaimer." Eda shifted towards him and took a minute before looking at him blankly.

"Do you know that Rigel is the brightest star in the sky constellation of Orion and the seventh brightest star in the night sky?" "There's another one too, It's Sirius. It's a Dogstar but I haven't managed to see it for years now."

Serkan couldn't comprehend the conversation but this was the most intimate thing she had told him. He realized that they never had a normal conversation before.
"I used to imagine clouds as people and animals in childhood." He shared.

Eda giggled, "If you join coordinates of these stars, you can always come up with something. I drew a goat once, always felt it was following me during my worse days."
"Then?'

"Then I grew up, just like you, and stopped with silly imaginations."

"Gel." He pulled her into his embrace and placed a gentle peck above her temple.
"You have a comforting embrace." Serkan widened his eyes in shock at her revelation.
"Oyle mi?" Eda nodded back wondering which part of this night was a lie. The fact she wanted to spend time with him because she missed him or that she was telling him these silly details to work on that lost connection. Her revenge was still on her mind, she had told herself repeatedly but a few things were not making sense.
Like this.

Lines were getting blurred and she was struggling with hating Serkan for the first time.
It was a chilly night but a comforting or maybe their company was soothing enough. Eda and Serkan drifted into a peaceful sleep while staring at the starry sky and caressing each other. Their minds were trying to figure out what was happening but their heart was in constant denial. Everything was serene but it was surely the calm before storm.
