Serkan Bolat couldn't believe his fate sometimes. It felt unreal. He couldn't believe he had created this beautiful human. He couldn't believe the universe considered him worthy of being a father to the world's most adorable and wise girl.

His daughter was the best and he won't believe otherwise. She was sent from the heavens for him and he couldn't be more grateful to Almighty.

No, he wasn't bragging. She really was way ahead of the children of her age. She was smart, clever and most importantly kind. He never understood where did he get that trait from. If he had to be honest, unconditional kindness was not a common trait in her parents.

. How come God thought he was worthy of having such a gem in his life?

Serkan Bolat's daughter, Eva owned him. She was his whole life and if he had to sacrifice himself for her, he'd do that without blinking.
For someone like Serkan, who adored children but never imagined having one, Eva was a huge blessing- his bundle of joy, peace, happiness, soul, breath, and everything.

The six-year-old was busy scribbling on a piece of paper. Serkan chuckled inaudibly, seeing her all engrossed in work. She was too busy to notice her father was standing against the wall, his eyes sparkling with pride and emotions.
Serkan noticed how she was nibbling the back of the colored pencil- a habit he didn't like because he feared it was unhygienic, but he couldn't help but admit his bundle of joy looked absolutely adorable doing that. He took steady steps towards the couch and held Eva in his arms, anticipating her laughter.
He didn't even start tickling her, but she was already laughing and chanting, 'Yapma baba yapma.'

Serkan kissed her cheeks, while pushing back her ginger curls which she had inherited from him.

'Baba bak, I made you a birthday card.' Eva showed off her scribbling with utmost pride. So, this was what had caught his daughter's attention for so long. He didn't want Eva to remember his birthday because they couldn't celebrate it this time, just like last year. And he hated to lie to his daughter and give petty excuses. But it was hard to explain that he didn't feel like celebrating his birthday.
'Did you like it?' She asked incredulously when Serkan didn't react for a couple of minutes.
"Like? I loved it canim, but you know what? I love you more." And he began to tickle her again, loving the voice of her laughter filling his house.

'Why haven't you slept? It's late.' Despite the failed attempts, Serkan did try to become a lowkey strict dad attempting to entail some discipline in Eva's life. But even he knew he couldn't do it.

"I don't like to sleep early baba." Serkan raised his brows wondering what could he say to that.
"You're not allowed to sleep late Eva." He tried reasoning..

"I miss Anne" his little girl sighed with a pout and looked down at her trying to hide her sadness from her dad so he won't feel the same.
"I miss her too baby." Serkan sighed and kissed his daughter's forehead.

"Why can't she come back. Ipek teyze came back to nermin and nihal too." Serkan wished he could answer those questions without creating trouble in her innocent mind
With a resigned sigh he kissed her palm lovingly and tried to lighten the mood
"Don't you like having baba around?"
"I won't both."
"You have both baby ." He cooed and held her in his arms without giving in to her protests.
"But we have to cut your birthday cake."
"Evaaa."
"LÜTFENNN"

Though Serkan didn't appreciate celebrating his birthday that had already passed now yet he gave up for his child. Both baba kiz cut the chocolate slice and Despite the former knowing chocolate at night wasn't a good for her allowed Eva to have the whole slice before sleeping that too without brushing her teeth.
