Anakin
As a child, still on Tatooine, Anakin liked to hear pilots talking about the stars, he had once heard one of them talk about a certain division between the stars, the moon and the sun.
According to the pilot, there were the stars, minor stars, their names little known, never mentioned, they were beautiful, charming even. But, they were just stars.
And then they left the moons, natural satellites in a huge galaxy, they were elegant and they appeared during the night, a little special, but they needed a sun to be noticed. They were unique, but their presence could only be repaired with the help of something else. And lastly, there were the suns. Large circular shapes surrounded by fire, and glowing by themselves. Suns didn't need anything else to shine, they shone by themselves. His presence was always noted, his brilliance always praised, and his fire always talked about.
For Anakin, Padmé Amidala was like the sun, it was impossible not to see her, not to notice her, she had a glow of her own, a light that was impossible to look away from.
When a senator was in the room, the Jedi Knight paid attention to nothing but Amidala. When the former queen spoke, he only listened to her.
His heart yearned to see her, her ears yearned to hear her sweet voice and her eyes yearned to be able to admire her one more time.
He was in love, he knew it well. Anakin Skywalker was madly in love with Padmé Amidala, and nothing was ever going to change that. It was a fact, undeniable and non-negotiable.
His heart sang love songs and beat too hard when she was around. His limbs would meet her as soon as he saw her, his arms eager to touch her.
The Jedi loved her, body and soul. And maybe, it was the forbidden, forbidden love between the two of them that made it hurt so much.
He loved her, and he couldn't have her. It was against Jedi code, but then, if it was so wrong, why did it feel so right?!
And if it felt so right, even more so there, in front of a huge lake, in the senator's hometown, after a perfect day for him, why should he hold back?!
What's to stop Anakin Skywalker from pulling you close and sealing their lips with a long, delicate kiss?!
Anything! This was the answer.
Nothing stopped him from sealing her lips with a long, gentle kiss.Leaving all his conscience aside, and giving control of his actions to his wild, loving heart, Anakin moved a little closer to Padmé.
Touching her gently on the back and leaving a lingering caress there, Skywalker finally got closer to Amidala's face. And looking deep into the senator's eyes, mentally waiting if she could wish, he patiently awaited her response.
Padmé nodded, slowly, her nod almost non-existent, but the young knight heard her nod. And he finished approaching the remaining distance, in order to finally seal their lips.
The kiss was slow and gentle.
Anakin wanted more, but he took it easy, gently, kissing her as if she were the most delicate flower in the world, a rare kind of star that he had the chance to touch, kiss.He touched her as if at any moment it could end and he would never be able to do it again. A dream come true only once in a lifetime and never again.
And it ended.
In the blink of an eye, the young senator was gone and already Anakin missed her, missed her touch.Amidala had distanced herself from him, and was looking straight ahead, while Skywalker continued to stare, admiring her. Even after she pulled away, he couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful she looked after his kiss.
- No. - she said. - I should not have done it.
The Jedi couldn't disagree more. She should have done it and for him it was like a gift, a gift and the young man would keep that memory forever. He would never forget her.
He would never forget her first kiss, his first kiss with the love of his life, with Padmé Amidala.
