The New Kingdom

Arjun walked around deep in thought. His father-in-law had handed him a scroll that contained all the kingdoms that he and his father, King Pandu, wanted to conquer. He will soon fulfill their wishes. He smiled. He is blessed to have king Dhrupad as his father-in-law. They bonded well in the month he had stayed here. He reminded him of his father. How his father loved and pampered him. He told him of his father's life before marriage and everything as his mother got emotional whenever they talked about him so he never asked her.

Not only he even his brothers became attached to him. His eldest started considering him in political matters and taking advice in everything. Nakul and sahdev stick to him always. They were quite young when pitashree died and perhaps they got the love they wanted from tatshree from him. The Panchal family had become a family to them too and everyone in the Panchal family is a heart stealer. He can't wait for him to return.

He smiled as he was hugged by the heart of Panchal and swarnpur. He turned around and was amazed to see his wife. She was basking in the glow and laughing. She looked so happy today perhaps because of her mood swings which will soon change because of the arrival of Kauravs but they didn't know that.

"Arya"

"What happened jaan? Too happy today."

"Bada prem aa raha hai ap par. Bohut Pyaar karte hun apse."
(I am affectionate with you today. I love you a lot.)

"Acha? "

"hmm...."

She tiptoed and pecked his lips and giggled again as blood rushed to her cheeks. Arjun felt bliss seeing her this happy. He kissed her on the forehead and cheeks and then kissed her belly and started sweet talking his child.

"See how happy your mata is! She is looking like a goddess in blue. I love you and your mata. Come soon i cant wait to meet my baby."

"Baby loves you too and he is also hungry for raw mangoes."

"Oh really...?"

"yes... Now bring na please." she pouted at him.

Sooner than anyone wanted the evil quad was back. And then it was time for yuddhisthira's crowing ceremony.
But people know Duryodhan as being Duryodhan and shakuni. They had to do something. And then the verbal fight started but the worst came to worst when Duryodhan told Arjun, "You would teach us, Dharma? First, teach your wife. Such an arrogant woman would only bring you downfall. And judging her personality who knows if the child is yours or not?"

"DURYODHAN!!!!!"

The next moment no one know how it happened or when but everyone stood there shocked as they witnessed Arjun aiming at Duryodhan, his eyes were red in anger and a tear slipped down his eye. Draupadi was in the same state too, her eyes dewy but shooting fire at Duryodhan. But she knows better. This place will not give justice but this reaction of her husband will create another chaos for them. But before she could do anything...

"you are Forgetting Arjun that you can't use weapons in sabha. Be within your limits."

"Angraaj, your friend was the one who forgot his limits today and I won't leave this man today!!!"

"ARJUNNNN!!!!!!"

"The one who sits quietly while his wife is insulted is nothing but a corpse."

"Today for taking on a weapon in sabha I announce your execution"

Everyone was shocked and Draupadi held his arms tightly. Yuddisthira was angry and he didn't restrain himself this time, "you can't do that. If you don't punish the one who speaks ill of the other wife then you can't punish the man who defends his wife, you can only invite him for war."

Dhitarastra sat down knowing the power of Arjun. Arjun is superior to all his sons combined. Finally, pitamah asked them to depart and that they will think of a solution.

Pandavs and pandavpatnis went away. Midway Arjun asked for privacy with his wife.

"krishnee, don't take his words to mind. You are the purest of women for me and I have a feeling that our this child will give you justice. Please I am so sorry I couldn't do anything in front of them."

He was hugged by his wife and consoled but then mata came and asked his wife to join her in pooja for the baby.

Never had Draupadi thought that this will happen. Just as she had finished pooja a daasi told her that her husband along with his brothers are taken as prisoners. She rushed there and saw Arjun's hand in chains. All her sisters were crying uncontrollably. She too teared up seeing him in that state.

He tried to convince her to go back to Panchal but she simply denied it and ran away from there.

Pitamah was discussing something with vidur when a dasi told her of Draupadi's visit. He allowed her but was astonished to see her in tears but the next moment he couldn't stop his anger when he heard what happened. He rushed to Dhitarastra and freed his grandsons. Finally, it was decided that the Pandavas will be given khandavprasth, the kingdom near swarnapur to rule. Bhisma tried to give his grandsons justice but was unable to do so and atlast they even stopped kunti from going...
