3 - tough crowd

A new day and the same sun on your face with the same alarm waking you up.
After a week of school, you and the friend group that has surrounded you, went to the ramen place Nendo was talking about. You walked beside Saiki and Aren. Aren was talking about some funny stories about Nendo all the way there, and you just fidgeted with the ring that keeps everyone's thoughts away, too tired to deal with actually listening to people's thoughts.

When you arrived there, everyone got behind a big table. You were going to let Teruhashi sit next to Saiki, you thought you would give the girl a chance, but before you could, your body just seemed to slam down and sit next to him.

Damn it, Hana just took my place. Oh but I am so nice I'll let her. Okay I have my letter and everything, this must go smoothly!

Teruhashi was filled with her thoughts and as soon as you took your ring off you could feel everything fly your way. But still not able to read the pink-stone's thoughts. Everyone got their order and you saw that Saiki of course got a coffee jelly. You took your favorite food as always. Everyone was chatting and laughing, you tried to be quiet but still laughed along, it was weird not being the talkative person behind the table. A very quiet sigh and extremely quiet whisper escaping your lips "be quiet", a reminder to yourself. Saiki side-eyed you again and this time you looked back with confusion.

"Hm?" you said, too lazy to actually speak

"Nothing" he spoke and you just nodded

oh he must've heard me...I hope he doesn't think I'm rude towards them

Everyone got up and started walking together slowly, and you could see Saiki way ahead of them.

Where is he speeding to? I need to get home too.

You jogged up to him and could hear Teruhashis thoughts

ugh I guess I'll give him my letter later....sigh

You walked along Saiki "Where ya speeding to?" you chuckled but he didn't budge.

Tough crowd

Everyone walked behind you two until everyone had to part ways. You gave a proper goodbye while Saiki just stood there.

Rude much?

You waved Saiki bye once you got to your door but again,

I walk in and see my father, in a happy mood

"I'm going out with a few neighbors, the Saiki's kid should be coming over, be nice"

"Already making friends I see" You said in a happy tone, you could see that he got along with Saiki's dad and it was fun to see. You nodded with a calm face but ran into your room to clean up before the guest came over. Thankfully for your abilities, you could do everything in a few minutes, just as the doorbell rang.

"Coming!!" You tell and run while sliding with your socks to the door. You opened the door and there the family was "Oh hello, Hana was it? Is your father home?" Kuniharu said. You nodded and like a spirit your father was summoned behind you. The parents giggled away into the distance and again, you were left alone with mr.stone-face.

He likes sweets, I could give him my coffee jelly, he seems to love it

"I uh...do you want to..have coffee jelly again?" You could see the eyes sparkle again.

How much does she have?!

Saiki wondered with the excitement of a 6 year old.

You gave him some again and ate with him in the kitchen.

"So...what do you think of Teruhashi-" you looked at his face which changed from a delighted child to a miserable man.

Eek- a nono question I see

"Nevermind" you added quickly. You wanted to understand why he didn't follow Teruhashi like everyone else.

Aromantic maybe? Rude to ask such a personal question.

You played around with your spoon and an empty bowl. You could hear Saiki speak now to your surprise

"What do you do?.. Think of her."

Wow he can speak you ironically thought

"Ehe she's..." Obsessed with you

"She's nice...I guess" I stood up and took the bowls to wash them.

"Oh I can show you around the house, we can sit in my room"

You showed around, and got to your room at last. You had just cleaned so everything was perfect.

You walk into your room and see

....a cockroach.

"HOLY-" you screamed since you hated bugs and could hear a gasp from Saiki and a loud bang in the ground soon after. You took a book from your shelf and smashed it while squealing.

You grieved the book cover from now being dirty with...the cockroach and looked back to see him on the ground.

"I am so sorry, I literally just cleaned" shivers down your spine, oh how you hate bugs.

"It's fine" he said as you offer a hand and he takes it

wow she killed it even when scared to death and she can make coffee jelly....I think I can work with that

Saiki thought to himself

"So you're scared of bugs?" You asked in a mischievous way

I don't like the look

Saiki just stared at you and you nodded "I get it, I mean I just squealed for a minute, trying to smash it" you chuckled again and cleaned the floor while still having a very expressive disgusted look at the dead bug. Saiki gave a small smile at that, probably just relating. You looked at him

wow he can smile!? again ironically.

You sit on your bed while he is on your chair.

After a long time you both were reading books, you gave him one you recommended, honestly having no idea what to do.

Both reading you could hear the doorbell ring, it must be your dad.

It was your brother.

Oh fuck no. I am not dealing with him.

"Hello sister-" he started to speak, you could hear his ego through it. For some reason, you did not like him at all, you hated his letters at times, you could just feel his narcissism, you knew that in some way, he wasn't such a nice person he claims to be.

"Bye"

you slammed the door.
