2 - a good start

The alarm woke you as usual and you put on the uniform. You got time this morning so you got ready slowly, looking at the many rings on your hand, knowing what kind of powers all of this holds back. With a sigh, you take your bag and open your door.

"AH SH-" you scream at the top of your lungs, due to Saiki being in front of you. Your father had already left, so thankfully you didn't scare him awake.

Now you, on the ground you take a look at him "we have a doorbell"

He looked at you for a few seconds, while you stood up "I was going to press it"

You sighed and nodded "Yeah yeah, I know. Sorry for screaming like a 5 year old".

Both of you started walking there, the silence being filled with birds singing and trees moving with the wind. You can't help but admire the scenery.

"It's beautiful isn't it? The nature I mean" He nodded in agreement and the both of you walked into the school.

The day was boring as you thought it would be and you mostly zoned out. Your abilities will get you the perfect score anyways.

At lunch, you sat with the 4 boys, but you couldn't see Chiyo nor Teruhashi anywhere. They were talking about ramen or something like that.

"Hey, does anyone know where Chiyo and Teruhashi are?" you spoke up finally, not really listening to what they talked about before.

"Oh Teruhashi is helping Chiyo do something, they did not really tell us" Aren spoke up quickly. You didn't need to ask this, but wanted to see like a normal human and a caring one at that. You knew that the girls were talking about boys and trying to get a plan to confess to Kaido and Saiki. You honestly couldn't care less, but you had a feeling that Saiki would hate it and Kaido would just die on the spot. You just ate and pretended to know nothing, when you finished eating you sat with them anyway, playing with your rings.

"I like you rings, " Kaido pointed out, "where did you get them?"

you tried to stay serious, since he tried to sound very serious and cool

"Oh thank you so much, I got some from my brother, some from my mother and some from Europe even." Aren looked intrigued. "You have a brother?"

You nodded "Yes, but I do not remember him at all, he just sends me birthday gifts and I do the same to him, my father told me that he hadn't seen him either, because my parents don't live together."

"Oh I am so sorry" Aren put a hand on your shoulder

oh no, I didn't know. I am so sorry.

"Yeah, but it's fine, me and my dad can handle it" you gave a small awkward chuckle.

Nendou seemed to be zoning out, but out of the blue asked "Let's get ramen after school! I know a good place!" You nodded "Sure! I do need to look around the city.." Everyone was happy and you could see Chiyo coming with Teruhashi, asking if anyone wanted to get ramen after school.

"Oh we were just planning on going!" Aren spoke. "Amazing" the girls giggled and you could see everyone being happy, except the stone faced pink-head, Saiki.

What is his deal, I still can't put my finger on it

Good grief, now I need to find a way to get out of this situation, I don't want to do anything with their little plan

Maybe he already can tell the girls plans, maybe I shouldn't go? Is he even coming? He didn't say anything

"Hey S-" you almost started talking telepathically, you usually find this either a bit rude or only do it with people you are extremely close with. Thankfully you hadn't had the need to use it to speak with someone without others knowing yet."Hey Saiki, you coming too? You're the one who knows the directions back to my house"

Saiki shook his head "homework"

"Oh then I can't come today either, sorry everyone" you said with an apologetic smile and saw Teruhashi coming up with an excuse as well and with that the plan was canceled.

While you and Saiki were walking home you admired the scenery again with the beautiful bird singing in the background. The sky was baby pink with orange mixed into it, a few white and puffy clouds complimenting the sky.

You found a ring in your pocket, the one that keeps everyone's thoughts away from your head and you put it on, looking at your hand and smiling. You sigh in relievement, it is a weird feeling at first but get used to it. Saiki side-eyed you and you just ignored him.

if I can't read his thought, then I don't want to read anyone's at the moment

You waved him goodbye when he started to walk to his house and you stood before yours, but again

he didn't wave back.
