Saiki calmly walks out of his room, too interested in the experiment to just sit around. He tries to find his brother nowhere to be seen, he couldn't read your brother's location either. Now Saiki is walking at a faster pace, to get outside and spy on his brother. Just as he gets out, he sees you looking into the distance, referencing his leaving. He sighs and is ready to go back inside, but he catches your eye.

the only person whose thoughts I can't read, besides my family and Kuskue. But he doesn't wear anything...maybe his hair-clips? That makes so much sense! I just need to remove a hairclip of his. But how?

You were in deep thought staring at Saiki, but not noticing that he is staring at you now too. You snap out of your thoughts and wave at Saiki, who just continues to stare at you.

You could hear your dad "Close the door, it's getting chilly."

"Oh uh yes dad" you started to close the door but a foot stopped it.

You opened the door and Saiki was there, like he had teleported "Okay mr.Sonic, what shall I assist you with today?".

I have decided that I need to be her friend at first, I guess it'll be easy since I attract weird people near me mostly. And then I need her to "drop" the rings. Then I'll find out if I can actually read her mind or is there something even weirder going on here.

Saiki stared at you for a second and murmured "Bored"

"And how am I supposed to help you?" you smirk at him, remembering this has once happened but the roles were reversed. You ignore your dad's request to close the door.

I didn't think of that...

"I thought you might have an answer"

"Well, honestly I thought you couldn't get bored, you always have a bored expression but you never complain about being-"

There are moments where I am too honest. Like for now.

"I mean, I uh.. I meant that you don't seem the type to get bored."

"Nice save"

"Thank you. Wait what" a bit of red appearing on your face from embarrassment you let him in. He chuckles a bit and walks in.

You rub your hand together, knowing that soon, you'll have nothing to keep your powers at bay. Yes, most of it is held inside of the hair-clips, but you have actual access to them. You walk into your room with him and try to find a topic to find about, but can't stop thinking about your powers.

"Is everything okay?" Saiki asks.

"Oh yeah, I just...it's hard to explain" you give him a small smile, even if you don't feel like smiling or, as you realize, you feel close to nothing in general. A small happiness is the only thing burning inside you but even that is fading.

You smile widely now, the small happiness inside you growing and glowing like a star. You jump to hug him, he flinches at that but you start ranting "Oh my god, I mean I already decided that we're going to be friends since the day you saw me sing my heart out in the morning, because you saw an awkward moment and I must keep an eye on you so you won't tell anyone but you actually saying that just makes me feel like you with a coffee jelly!" You hug him tightly, feeling like the worries are long gone.

You were so happy that you could kiss him but held yourself back. "Oh that sounded a bit desperate." you laugh and sit back down, he gives a small smile and nods "Indeed".
