After a busy afternoon, it was now time for Christine's performance. It was busier in the kitchen here than back at the bakery at home, but myself and the rest of the kitchen staff managed to get through it all in time for the gala tonight.

Leo was with the stagehand crew, and Lizzy and I stood at the far side of the stage away from the audience with Meg. We decided not to change for the gala and stick to wearing our uniforms instead.

We didn't have the money to go out and buy one, and Lizzy didn't have enough time to make any. We were only going just to see Christine perform anyway, so it didn't really matter about dressing up for it.

🎶Think of me, think of me fondly
When we've said goodbye
Remember me, once in a while
Please promise me you'll try🎶

🎶When you find that once again you long
To take your heart back and be free
If you ever find a moment
Spare a thought for me🎶

🎶We never said our love was evergreen
Or as unchanging as the sea
But if you can still remember
Stop and think of me🎶

🎶Think of all the things
We've shared and seen
Don't think about the way
Things might have been🎶

"Well done, Little Dove. You finally managed to reach the level of a soprano." I smiled proudly and patted the head of a little girl with long wavy brown hair and hazel eyes wearing a ballerina outfit who looked to be around 6 or 7 years old. "I am so proud of you."

The little girl squeezed the life out of me, making me stumble back a little, but returned the embrace. "Thank you so much! I would not have been able to sing like that without your help, Hummingbird! I'm so happy!"

I chuckled. "I can see that. If you sing exactly as you just did for your audition to be part of the chorus, then I guarantee you'll succeed, and then one day, when you're a little older, you will sing in front of an audience all on your own not as a chorus girl, but as the Prima Donna."

The girl known as 'Little Dove' gasped and her eyes went wide in surprise and hope. "You really think so? Do you really think I could be Prima Donna one day, Aria?"

"I believe you will someday, Little Dove." I told her. "We'll end our lesson here for today. I must find that little sister of mine before my Papa starts to worry. She's most likely reading a book in either box one, two, three, or four again."

"Thank you again, Hummingbird. I promise to practice everyday and work very hard so that I can be a Prima Donna." 'Little Dove' said before turning around and skipping away, but not without waving 'goodbye' first.

I smiled and waved to her. "I know you will, Christine. I'll be cheering for you no matter what."

What the heck was that all about? And Christine?! Why did she call me 'Aria' and 'Hummingbird'?

These can't be my memories, can they?
