Alex

Please let it be a nightmare. I prayed as I played the scenes of what happened just this morning inside me head. Please let it just be a horrible dream Morpheus decided to give me. Please...

I could see myself heading out into the woods and I don't even know why I was going there. As much as I knew, there was something very familiar waiting for me in the woods and I was half expecting it was my father. It was his aura that awaits me in the forest.

"Good morning, Alex!" A girl whose face was baked with makeup chimed up to me. I figured it was an Aphrodite's child.

I smiled at her not wanting to be rude and continued walking - jogging - towards the thick force of trees facing me. Now that I was closer to it, I could be pretty sure that it was not my father much to my disappointment. It was not a living thing either but its aura somewhat smelled like hell and... figments of souls.

I should have woken up Alyssa when I had this sensation of hell upon earth but I didn't feel like walking back to our cabin, worried that the feeling would go away if I left it alone. So I decided to slow down my pace into walking from jogging and slowly took steps into the greens.

As I closed to the aura, the sight of the camp disappeared into a small light and into nothing as the leaves of the trees concealed it. Despite the uneasy feeling, I still searched for the source of the feeling of déjà vu.

And there, it sat. A beautiful polished mahogany box on was there on a boulder. Open. Something hissed into my ear. I swirled around to check anyone who made that sound, but later realized that it was produced from the box.

I picked it up without hesitation. The box got hotter at my contact that I nearly dropped it but however, I tightened my grip even more. Out of curiosity, I opened the lid which is decorated with jewels.

My first big mistake of the day.

The world blurred into darkness and all I could think was pain in my whole body. Most intolerable problem was that my body collapsed onto the ground but I - well, my soul rose up and the next thing I know is that, there were walls around me. I reached out for a wall and electroshocks went through my veins.

"What the hell?!" I screamed but I know it wouldn't be any help. The room - the box, whatever - was dimly lit and each of the walls formed a square in the middle. The room could fit a whole squad of footballers in it so in other words, it's not stuffy. Not that there was any other stuffs to make it stuffy.

The room was just too plain. The walls were painted gray like it was some prison cell. There was absolutely nothing in this room, except from me. Oh yeah, just great. I was just walking into the forest in hope of finding my father but did luck or fate stay on my side? No-o-o, they had to make it misery for me as always. So I saw a beautiful mahogany box decorated with wonderful stones and as I opened it, my soul was sucked into it.

"Geez, I just hope somebody would come around," I muttered to myself as I settled down on the floor. Okay, this is very uncomfortable. Very.

Then, I heard a scream. Standing bolt upright, I listened carefully for another sound. That scream just sounded so familiar. After moments of groans and huffs, a girl voice shouted.

"Who the fucking hell are you?" Anyone with a brain would know who it was: Alyssa.

"I'm Dylan, son of Ares."

Then their conversation went on. Panic rushed through every nerve of me. I became less restless. And then, with a very bright green light, I dissolved into a space which I guessed was a portal because I felt uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.
