Being in sniper training it's more mental than physical training just because you have to think about every little thing like 'if I were to attack my team where would I be' also you have to make the ghillie suit and being a spotter is kind of tough but thank god I'm a better shot than my spotter.
After about two weeks me and my spotter have gotten really close turns out that this guy was the one with the brother that walked up to me when I landed in Germany. "Hey so I'm probably going to have a dinner tomorrow after we get this thing over with want to come?" He nodded then looked up at me "you mind if I bring my brother, I promised him every minute I could "hell yeah man my son would probably be best friends with him, you and your family are always welcome" he shook my hand then we left for our final test that we had together.

"Hey you probably don't remember me but I'm the guy from Germany, right before you welcomed your brother back" he nodded then shook my hand, we got into Connor's jeep then headed to my house.
"I remember you by the way, now everyone I see in a uniform I go up to them and tell them thank you, you were the first one I did that too, your smile inspired me to keep doing it" Connor smiled into the rear view mirror then focused back on the road. From the minute I noticed him I vowed that I was going to get him back after every deployment, either we both came out or only he does. I can tell it's only Connor, his girlfriend and his brother, they need him, my family can survive with out me heck I think they will even do better with out me.

"So the girls are hitting it off great" I handed Connor a beer then sat in the chair next to him on the dock, "yeah Kaylee seems to really like casey and matt seems to be best friends with Eric, I guess the only thing to do now is for us to become the best sniper duo" he got up and patted my back as I took a sip of beer.
'Will I make it back this time?' That question just kept circling around in my head, I mean this is my sixth tour I know I'm not invincible so that's the question I have to ask myself. I don't know how long I was sitting out on the dock but I guess casey noticed I was missing, she sat down on my lap and I instantly wrapped my arms around her. "What you thinking about?" I shrugged my shoulders, I know she hates it when I don't answer things but sometimes I just needed to shut people out even if it was only for an hour "just shit really". We stayed in silence for quite a while until casey got cold and dragged me back up to the house.

"Hey Connor can I talk with you for a second?" He nodded then stepped outside with me for a second, I just needed to get something off of my mind. "Look I've made a lot of decisions over on deployment I just need you to follow what ever I tell you to do even if it only benefits you, I need to know that you will do what ever it takes to get yourself home?" We sat down in the lawn chairs and took sips from a beer. "Look I know you have seen more than me but I'm gonna do what's best for us and our platoon, I'm not going to be selfish and only look out for me, believe it or not you're my role model out there and a lot of other people's too. So I'll do what's best for the team even if I don't get to make it back, it's all for them just remember that" he went to get up but I stopped him "Ya but it's just them if you die over there and something always goes wrong over there for me and my teams I just want you to be able to come back to matt and Kaylee" he nodded then patted my back before he went back inside with everybody.

I've spent a lot of time with just me casey, Eric, Connor, matt, and Kaylee, I've been trying to just keep a family bond between us since we will be spending a lot of time together and I figured out families should have that connection even if we just became partners.
Me and Connor ship out with our platoon today at around three so I've just been dressed in my uniform sitting in Casey's classroom waiting for Connor to pick me up. I was half awake because me and casey stayed up all night talking and making out, I knew I was going to be able to sleep on the plane ride to Germany and Afghanistan but I needed to get used to not sleeping a lot. I saw Connor walk up to the door and I got up and grabbed my giant bag from out of the back corner, everybody stares at me but then looked at casey sympathetically which let me know she was going to be okay, I left her in good hands. Casey tried to take my bag and lift it but it fell straight to the ground which made me and her class laugh, I took her hand then led her into the hallway.
"I can't wait to see you in four years, our son will be ten, hopefully you will still be teaching because you're good at it, and hopefully when I see you again it will be in exactly four years and I'm still alive and I'll do everything in my power to get me and Connor back but if I don't make it back please move on, my life goal was to make you happy and if my life ends early at least I completed my life goal." I hadn't realized Kaylee was there but she was hanging on to Connor like casey was to me, she patted my back as if saying good luck and good bye in one, I kissed casey one last time then me and Connor left side by side and we kept looking back over our shoulders to sink in the looks of our loved ones. I had a smile on my face as I left this time, I felt like this was going to be one of my best deployments and we were both going to come out alive and fine.
