Now we have a routine every morning, I get up take a bath while Casey takes a shower, after that I make breakfast while Casey wakes Eric up. Once everyone gathers everything they need we all sit around the table and eat.
That has been our routine for the last two months and I've been going to rehab for about a week now and it's frustrating as hell. I was tempted to leave after the first day but Kyle told me it gets better and I trust him.
I work down in the front office at the high school that way I would have a job and Casey could drive me there. I just do the announcements and write tarty slips. It's pretty boring but I know Casey relaxes more because it's safer than being over in Afghanistan. The only advantages to this job is that I get to see Casey everyday and I'm not stuck in the house all day.
It's been a great life even if I've seen the worst, I haven't really gotten used to being back and every morning reality hits me hard, I'm gonna be here until I die I don't have to go back. You know when you are on deployment you long for home but right now I just want to be back there, it's the only thing I know. Casey would be mad if I told her that so I just keep all these thoughts to myself.
A/N:
Thank you everybody for reading this story, I know the final chapter was short but I just couldn't find a better ending than to end it on his thoughts and how his life is after all the traumatic events.
I'm gonna start working on a new story soon but thank you for reading this story.
