Chapter7

So when I was on deployment I spent most of my free time looking for a house for me and Casey. So after dinner with everyone I pulled up into the driveway of a nice two story brick house. I looked over at Casey and smiled, "I bought it eleven months ago, this is your new house, if you want it to be" I handed her the key to the house and she gave me a kiss in exchange.
"It's so big and spacious" I followed in behind her. "So you like it?" This was the hardest decision of my life I just hope she liked it "no, I love it" she jumped into my arms and I held her up and put her between me and a wall. "I was hoping you would" I kissed her again and again.
***Casey POV***
I snuck back into my apartment at five thirty, I didn't ditch Carter he dropped me off because I needed clothes. I was almost to my room until Amber stuck her head out "ooh the walk of shame" I glared at her "I didn't ditch Carter and it's not shame, but there was some undressing last night" I smirked and she smacked my shoulder while she laughed.
***carter POV***
"Sir I mean no disrespect but I need to stay home just a little bit longer than a week" I got called down to base at around five thirty and I was pissed. "You take orders, you need to go down there next week that's an order" I pounded my fists on his desk "out of the past eight years I've been home for only five days, I want to finally have my wedding, give me a month at the least" he rubbed his chin while thinking "two weeks we really need you and your team" I was not dragging my team back early "no you take me in two weeks not my team or you can have me and my team in a month" we had a stare down until he spoke "you have two weeks your team can deploy in two months to meet you there, you will be there for three years" I nodded then left without saluting just so he can get the message. I sent out a group text to the team 'I deploy in two weeks, you guys deploy in two months' I walked out to my truck and drove back to Casey's apartment to get my stuff.
"Why aren't we deploying with you?" I ignored Kyle and walked back to where all my gear and bags were. "I made a deal and got you two months home and I get two weeks, he originally wanted all of us to deploy in a week but I said no" I brought stuff and put them in the back of Casey's car. "Where is Casey?" Right as I said that Casey walked up with a confused expression. "Hey I'm staying longer than a week but I leave in two weeks from today" she ran a hand through her hair frustrated.
***Casey POV ***
I didn't want to let go of Carter but I had to go and teach. He said he would come eat with me at lunch and I told him to do that because I wanted every possible minute with him. He even offered to sit in my class but I told him no because he is the worst high school student.
I didn't even eat I just sat there in his lap talking and hugging him. "I don't want you to go, what about our wedding?" He held me close as if he was going to lose me "this weekend I got us a day on Saturday and I know it's sudden but I wanted to be able to do this before I left" I nodded then kissed him, I wanted every bit of him.
***Carter POV***
I was now standing up on this stage at a church with just our families and my team here. I know it wasn't really ideal with not as many people here but I just wanted to marry Casey so bad and to say Ya I have the best wife ever is my life goal and wouldn't be completed without Casey.
I never took my eyes off of Casey's during the whole thing, we were currently slow dancing and my phone went off, I looked down and saw my generals name pop up, I cussed under my breath then stepped outside. "Yes sir?" I had to bite my tongue that way I didn't cuss him out. "I know you still have two days but can you leave today?" I was tempted to throw my phone on the ground and smash it to prices "no I can't I am leaving in two days stop making me leave early, why do you need me every time anyways?" I swear this is some bullshit. "You were our best marine and now you are our best special forces guy" I don't know why I can't just have a break. "Listen I know I'm lower rank and can't tell you to do something but please let me have the two days" I let out a breath of frustration, "no now get down to the airport now that way you can make your flight out of Texas, we already got you a ticket" I hung up then walked in to tell everyone goodbye.
I pulled Casey over to the side, "Casey I tried to stay but I need to be at the airport in an hour so I have to leave now" I heard her cry and pulled her close, I didn't care if my blues looked horrible after this. "I'm sorry but stay and have fun with everybody" I gave her a kiss then jogged outside and checked all of my stuff before I left. "Want me to come with you?" I turned and saw Casey she changed into sweats and my hoodie "if you want to you can" she gave me a kiss then hopped into the passenger seat. "Hey I have to go give Emily a hug be back Ina minute" she nodded. I ran back inside and I searched the crowd for Emily, I spotted her dancing with her husband whose hand was on her ass, I shoved him back then gave Emily a hug "I'll see you in a year or two idk, and don't let your husband be inappropriate" I turned and pushed past Brandon.

I was sitting on the plane texting Casey telling her that I loved her and that she didn't have to worry about me. "You going over there?" I looked up and saw a guy in his fifties, I nodded "is this seat open?" I nodded again and then moved my stuff out of the seat. "Is it your first time going or what?" I turned off my phone then turned toward the guy "this will be my fourth tour, I'm Carter by the way" he shook my hand then sat down "I'm Jim, my son is over there on his first tour, I'm actually going to Germany to meet him there then fly back with him" wow that kid had one good dad, I wish I was able to write enough to tell people when I was coming back.
