Y/n's Pov:
That night had to be your happiest in a long time, despite earlier that day with Kiri and then with Ao'nung.
He had actually come up to you before you all went your separate ways after that night and apologised to you. Saying he never meant for it to go so far.
You forgave him of course, hoping to be friends with him seeming as you would probably be staying there.
You and Neteyam spent the rest of that night quite close to each other as the lot of you all bonded and played games in the water.
Eventually Tuk was taken home to sleep as well as Kiri, leaving the rest of the teens alone. You all sat in the shallows of the water and talked, getting to know each other better. Or you at least.
Every now and then you would feel the hand of the boy you liked so much on your back. Maybe he would rest his arm on your shoulder or even just a hand.
Every now and then you would catch yourselves leaning against each other's arms.
You didn't know how it had happened, but those few seconds underwater had brought the 2 of you together. Your connection seemed stronger and more alive.
You wanted to spend more time with him. He made you happy. How you felt you could be yourself around him.
That night you had headed back with the Sully boys, thinking Norm Max and Marcus would still be there. But before you got there, you were called.
You turned to see Norm and Marcus in a small hut. Probably only ment for 1 person. Only a few homes down from the Sully's. Max was out in the aircraft, sleeping there so he could take off his mask.
You waved the boys good bye before entering.
"This is... quaint" you mumbled looking at the small walls.
"The best the reef people had at short notice." Marcus said as he sat on the ground. So, he was going to ignore the conversation you had earlier.
"You can have the hammock" Norm said pointing above his head. He was crouched under it
"Thanks" you said quietly. You jumped up the bed that was high up and lay down.
You didn't want to talk to the men who were making all the decisions for you. The men who yelled at you and didn't look to your side of the story.
You closed your eye, annoyed that your mood had been brought down again.
So you thought about your night with the teens. Under the stars...with the star.
Soon enough you were able to doze off with the sounds of laughter running through your head.

"Y/n" your eyes shot open. You looked to direction of the voice and saw Neteyam. Behind him the sun was just shining through. But you could see grey clouds starting to form. "Come on" he said quietly.
You stepped down and around Norm. But Marcus was gone. You carried on your way with Neteyam.
"Where are you taking me?" You asked quietly. The boy just looked back to you and smiled before dropping from the walk way to the sand. He then lead you into the forest.
The forest here wasn't as pretty as it was back in the hallelujah mountains but the sun shon through the cracks of the branches and leaves making a beautiful display of beams. An orangey yellow colour.
You looked to Neteyam. The colour of the sun brightened his skin.
Finally he stopped and placed a hand in your shoulder.
