A/N: SO SORRY I COULDN'T UPDATE SOONER. I HAVE HAD A VERY BUSY WEEK BUT WILL MAYBE UPDATE THE NEXT CHAPTER TODAY TO MAKE UP FOR IT :)

You had done as the woman asked and visited her before the festive celebrations tonight of the return of Tulkan.

She had re-applied a paste to the bullet wounds that were almost gone as well as giving you the disgusting green drink.

"You may stay here till it dries. Neteyam, you may go. You must get ready for tonight" she said calmly to the boy. But he shook his head as he sat next to you.

"It's alright. I'll only take a few minutes." You almost gasped when he had spoken back to the tsahìk. But she nodded and let him stay.

"So" roanl said after getting her mate and Son to leave their home. "How have things been with you two?" She asked.

What was she talking about? Did she think you were dating? You looked to Neteyam who seemed to be a little confused, but more angry at the woman.

"With the connection" she added. Your head shot to Neteyam once. His head was in his hands. But Ronal did not have a flitnch if worry in her words.

"How do you know about that?" You asked, not really knowing what to say.

"Neteyam told me while you were gone. And Kiri too." She said looking to both of you. Then she turned all her attention to you and lent in just a little bit before whispering "He went through much pain you know"

Neteyam was blushing but said nothing.

"There are stories among the reef people a few hundreds years ago. They had a bond like the 2 of you have. At first they couldn't control it. But after years of practice they could use it to their advantage and turn it on and off."

You weren't really sure what to say to this. On one hand you were happy that you and Neteyam weren't the only ones who had been through this. It was quite comforting. Actually all of this news was good. But one thought did pop into your mind.

You didn't know why it had made you so upset. But you voiced it anyway.

"Is this why you have been so kind to me?" You asked. You could tell she could hear the slight feeling of betrayal.

"I am kind because, believe it or not I like you. It's not often that an outsider can get on my good side. But you...when I ran the tests on you, I could tell you were a good person with lots of fire in you."

You could tell that she was telling the truth. You were just very very surprised. And clearly she was too. And Neteyam even more so.

"When I asked you to meet my spirit sister, I did it without even thinking. I wanted you to meet her" she added. "When I see you, I see myself."

There were a few seconds of awkward silence before the woman continued, remembering herself.

"Now, I would like to talk to you two in the future about this connection you share."

"What connection?" The three of you turned to the doorway if the hut. There stood Neteyams parents. His mother looked confused but his father looked angry.

"The connection your son and this girl share?" Ronal stood up, just as much of a confused look on her face as Neytiri. "Oh. I believe that I have stepped over a line" she mumbled.

"What connection, Neteyam?" His father asked stepping closer to his son.

Netyem shot up and stepped to his father, holding his hands out, trying to explain what was going on.

"I was going to tell you. But there was so much going on and you were always stressi-"

"No" his father grumbled. It felt like the whole world had shut up for him, even though he hadn't shouted. "That doesn't answer the question, boy" Neteyam let out a sigh. He knew that telling his parents would put a rift between them.
