Neteyam's POV:

The storm had finally passed after 2 weeks of rain. I sat at home. Tuk was trying to cheer me up just like every other day of the week. She made me different necklaces and bracelets that she knew I probably wouldn't wear for more than a few days. I would cherish them forever nonetheless.

She would come up with stories to tell Kiri Lo'ak and I. But they all revolve around a girl who got lost before finding her way to a village who took her in despite their differences they had.

It wasn't the fact that I was away from Y/n that made me sad. It was the fact that no one else could feel her pain and fear. No one believed Kiri or me about how she was really a good person. And Ronal never said anything to her husband that we knew of.

But for the last few days, I had felt nothing from her. I could tell she was alive. But nothing else. And it had me worried sick. Kiri could see it. And my parents could tell something was wrong.

Our connection was still there and still alive as ever. But I didn't feel anything from the Moon. I didn't know what she was feeling.

My little sister brought me a bracelet.
"Now we are matching" she said with a smile. I looked at the bracelet she was passing me and took it. She then held out her wrist where she wore an almost identical bracelet.

I gave her a smile and put it on my wrist to add to the other 2 on there.

"Thanks tuk tuk." I said quietly, placing my hand on her cheek for a few seconds. It dropped it soon after at the sound of a screech. I saw Tuk's ears flinch at the sound. I crawled on my hands and feet over to my little sister who had run to the opening of our hut.

I stood up and placed an arm around her shoulder, trying to find what had made the noise. I saw that many others had too.

It sounded much like an Ikran, but something was wrong. It sounded like a dying screech. Like it was in pain. But no Ikran flies out this far from the forest.

"Look!" Tuk yelled. She pointed up into the sky where a small dark spot sat in the sky. I could just make out wings. It flew weirdly. Like if someone was limping.

"It's an ikran!" Kiri yelled, running up to our hut. I noticed that my parents had made their way over too. I saw Lo'ak in the distance, making his way over.

"Mum!" Tuk said rushing out from my grasp and to our mother. "It looks like-"

I was out of the hut before I could listen to the end of my sister's sentence.

I bolted to the sand running as fast as I could to where the Moon would crash down.

She was here.

She was safe.

She was alive.

She was home.

She had crashed down just like I predicted. When I ran to her I could see the blood and bruises. But I didn't care. Not now.

All I did was wrap her in my arms as soon as I reached her. She had wrapped hers around my neck. Hesitating at first but digging her head into my shoulder nonetheless.

I could hear her loud, pain filled cries ripping through the soft breeze. I could feel the mental and physical pain she was in. It all rushed onto me once we had touched.

I didn't cry. I wouldn't. She was the one that had dealt and endured it for the whole week. The scared feelings.

I was going to be there for her and I wouldn't let her out of my sight.
