'✈️' = time skipGetting on a bigger ship, we were off to find another Tulkun. I still didn't understand much of the 'human dollars' thing, even after asking Quaritch and Spider for the answer to it. I just got a lot of "It's value.", and "Money is just money there's no way to explain it."
I thought it was pretty selfish to be killing off certain animals just to get a gold liquid. Spider told me it's a special kind, meaning it's worth something. But still, that whale could have been a mother, or a spirit sister.
This big ship we were now out scared me very much, especially because of the large amount of people on it.
As we were hunting for a specific whale, I sat back before Quaritch started talking about the Sully's again.
But he did it again, and again. I sat up, walking over to the commotion and turns out, they were over at the whale. My eyes widen and I stole the spot from Quaritch at the binoculars, looking at the view myself, not even knowing how to use them.
I saw Jake's kids on top of a similar creature we hunted earlier, trying to get some kind of object out of it's fin.
Watching them scatter, one of the kids took the tracker and used it as a distraction to get away and save the tulkun. I took this opportunity to escape the ship while everyone was distracted. "Spider, come on, follow me."
I ran with him around the crowds of loud people and alert soldiers. Bolting past machines, we managed to get away from the captain and dangerous men in no time. Now we just needed a complete way out.
"Wait, Ma." Spider paused, stopping in his tracks. I turned to look at him in confusion. "What is it?"
"Look over there!" He exclaims, but still in a whispering manner.
Cautiously approaching the main deck, we saw many Na'vi tied to a railing, including one of the water aliens, Lo'ak, Tuk and along with Kiri.
I panicked, running over to the three immediately, but mainly just for my 'daughter'.
"Spider, I'm going to distract Quaritch, you have to get them free immediately." I instructed, getting a nod as a reply.
As soon as I got the attention of the hostages, I placed a finger over my lips, telling them to stay quiet and not blow my cover. If I got caught trying to save them, I'd be tied to the railing just as they are.
I suddenly got surprised when I saw Quaritch point a gun to Lo'ak, aiming it at his head, causing me to get anxious. I look over at Spider as a way to say, 'Get ready.'
I had to be quick. There's no time for messing up now.
In the corner of my eye, I saw a large animal soar the the air, and then BAM!
The ship tilted, the creature threatening and distracting everyone. I fell over, grabbing onto the railing to keep myself from constantly falling.
"Ma!" Kiri cries out. "Help us!"
I attempted to help myself up, but the loud noises of the guns and explosions hitting the creature on the boat made my ears ring.
"I'm trying, baby. I'm trying!" The tulkun then had flopped off the large boat, creating me to fly forward, then making sure that Spider was safe.
I found my balance again, grabbing a piece of broken glass that the pressure of the water had broken. I used that piece of glass to break the kids free.
Kiri looked at me, tears flooding her face. "Ma, you came back for us." I smile, wiping her tears. "Of course I did, my love." I hugged her, holding her close to me.
I then pull away, swiftly looking around at my surroundings. "We've got to get you all to a safer place. You hear me? All of you need to stay close." With all of the kids listening, I told Spider to bring them to an escape route.
I ran behind everyone, making sure no one is left behind. Noticing that we had gained the attention from a couple of the soldiers, I chose to stay back. "Don't turn back! I'm staying as a distraction, don't stop running!"
Once I had said that, Spider refused to leave me. Lo'ak now decided to lead the group to safety. "Go with them, Spider. Do not play games with me. I don't need you hurt." I growl lowly, now entering a room filled with weapons and machines.
"I'm not leaving you, Ma! No way." I rolled my eyes, knowing I influenced my stubbornness on him. "Fine! But you need to promise me you listen to everything I say. No excuses!"
"Okay!" He agreed, grabbing a large gun. "No fucking way, put that down." I argued.
"It's just for protection. I promise I won't do anything stupid." He swings the hun over his shoulder, the strap holding it in place. I sigh deeply, grabbing a few grenades.
An armed human with a mask on like usual had slammed the door open, aiming a gun at me, but spider had shot him down using about 3 bullets.
My jaw drops, laughing a bit. "Nice one!" I playfully shoved him. "Let's get outta here."
We ran out of the room, avoiding crowds, and turning corners sharply. "On the count of three, we run and don't look back, you hear me?" My heart was beating, giving orders and ready to set an explosion off.
"Yes, I hear you." He let's me know, and I began to count. "One," I pull the grenade, "Two," then throwing it as far as I possibly could. "Three!" I finish and we bolt down the ship, down the stairs to get a long distance away from it before hearing a loud crash.
Feeling light pressure, we fall to the ground, but got up immediately after. "Don't stop!" I holler, shoving my son forward to tell him to just keep going.
Adrenaline was now pumping through each of our veins, knowing this was a matter of a life or death situation.
Shots were fired at us. "Go, go, go!" I repeated just as if we were running from that majungasaurus again.
We ran left all the way to the right, trying to get their aim off. We got close to an exit before we realized it was locked.
"Give me your gun, now!" I demanded, obviously stressed out. As soon as I had the gun, I jammed it at the lock, trying to break it.
I didn't give up, but the armed soldiers were getting closer by every millisecond that passed by.
After about a million tries of attempting to getting it undone, it has finally worked out. I swung the metal door open, rushing Spider out of the stairway.
But before I could even make my way fully outside, a bomb was set off.
