Na'vi language will be in bold.
'✈️' = time skipAfter getting sat down in a specific spot, one of the Na'vi insisted on helping me heal my leg with the power of Eywa's blessing.
The healer told me it usually doesn't work on others, but because I had such a strong connection with Eywa all of a sudden, it'll be better in no time.
"Bond with this tree, it'll make this process quicker." She told me, so I did.
She put her hands over my hurt leg, not quite putting contact of her skin on mine though, beginning to speak. "Dear Eywa, please heal our Y/n, as she needs to be as healthy as possible to save our people." She continued, adding some movement to her hands.
Sooner than later, my leg started to feel strong. Not completely healed all the way, but healed enough to fight on. The bone was put back together, but there was still a wound, just not as large as before. The woman wrapped a tough type of cloth around my leg, keeping the wound protected.
I had thanked her, Eywa and the people for their time.
~✈️~
Later that night, Miles and I planned to sleep under the tree we were currently sitting at. The grass was soft, the scent of fresh rain and mildew flooded my nose, providing me solace in this large empty land.
My body faced away from Quaritch, feeling slightly irritated by his actions from earlier today. "What's wrong, princess? What'd I do this time?" I hear him whisper behind me before placing a hand on either sides of my waist, pulling me up against him.
"Leave me alone, Miles. I do not want to talk." I try to get loose, but his strength was too powerful. "Miles, I said leave me alone!" I began to get loud, him then letting go and shooting his hands up in surrender.
I return back to my previous spot, separating farther from him. I didn't like the way he treated me. Was Jake and his rivalry that much more important than I was?
"Can you talk to me, Y/n?" He places his fingers in my hair. "What is it that you want me to say? You were being a dumbass." I use my favorite word again. "Was it something I said?" His voice got gentle, more cautious of his tone he used. "Forget it, just go to sleep." I ignore his question. "Don't try brushing it off, tell me what's bothering you." I could feel his eyes peering over me as he sat up against the tree looking down at me.
"Is being Jake's enemy more of a priority than I am?" I spoke my thoughts, forcing myself to not look his way. "What are you talking about?" He questions cluelessly. "The way you talked to me earlier. You were being a dumbass. Remember telling me I just get in the way?" I emotionlessly state, listening to the hitch in his voice and then a long pause.
"Y/n, I'm sorry." He shortly says. "I was upset, I wanted revenge on him. I wasn't thinking." His hand caressed my shoulder and I rubbed it off of him. "Look, I get you're going through a lot." He stops to think quickly before he spoke again. "-and I'm sorry for not being more aware."
Now this didn't sound like him at all. What happened to the strong Miles that never let his guard down? The Miles that would start fights, that would hunt big animals in the ocean? Or the quetzalcoatlus? What happened to that Miles?
I looked back at him to see true guilt and regret on his face, now making me feel a little bad, even though I wasn't in the wrong. I sat myself up as well, pulling myself into him. I wrapped my arms around his neck, my face nuzzling against his collar bone. His hands slithered to my waist, propping me up a little more.
