I internally frowned when I got up this morning. Today was the day of the UA sports festival, and I was kind of hoping to see my parents before heading to school. I thought they would have wished me luck in person, and not be rooting for me behind the scenes in spirit.

I mean, pro heroes from all over should be attending the festival too right? Scouting out for the next generation of heroes? So I would have thought the agencies would have been closed and my parents would get the day off and spend it with my sisters. Guess not.

"Hanako, I'm leaving now. Do you need anything?" I ask, popping my head inside her room.

"No, I'm alright. Now go kick some ass." My eldest sister says with enthusiasm, wishing me luck. I couldn't help but laugh at her phrasing, thanking her as I wiped a single tear from my eye, shed by my own laughter.

"Love you, see you tonight."

"Love you too, little squirt." I heard her say as I quickly made my way down the stairs.

Aside from the slight disappointment about not seeing my parents before the sports festival, I was both calm and excited. I had this in the bag, and it was going to be fun. I get to show the world what I can do. Hopefully many of my past schoolmates will see which of us got into UA. I want them to realize just how wrong they were.

Turns out that going shopping was the girls way of taking a small break and some time to relax before the festival. After everything with the USJ and all the training we've been doing, they wanted to push all that aside.

It was... different. Shopping with classmates- who want to call themselves my friends. Instead of shopping alone or with my mom. I was still a little quiet and unsure, but they were more than willing to help me get out of my isolated circle.

Once I got to school, I was greeted by many of my classmates. Some were just nods of acknowledgment from more of the quiet and distant character types, while others were bright, or cheerful with smiles and waves.

The stadium was packed already, that I knew for sure. The games were going to start any minute. We were told to go to the changing rooms, putting on our gym uniform. As much as I was kind of hoping to wear our costumes, I knew why we couldn't. After that, we were sent to the waiting rooms.

I couldn't help but internally smile. As we made our way towards the changing rooms, around another one of the corners I had seen All Might talking with Midnight. I wasn't trying to win though, as long as I showed off my strength and abilities, that was enough. My chances only grew.

"Aw man! I was totally hoping that I could wear my costume!" Mina pouted, looking down at her uniform.

"At least everyone will be in uniforms." Mashirao said, looking at the bright side. "That'll keep things fair, right?"

"I wonder what they have in store for us in the first round." Sato said with a smile, though anxious as he rubbed his hands together. Sitting at one of the tables with Tokoyami and Mezo, though the 'human octopus' wasn't seated.

"No matter what they've prepared, we must persevere." Said Tokoyami as he closed his eyes, his arms crossed.

"Right." Mezo nodded.

"Well from what I've heard, the events are kind of chosen at random." I said sitting on top of one of the other tables, swinging my legs back and forth. "Everything's set up to go with the flow."

"And you would know this how, exactly?" Holding back from sneering at the shrimp, I bit my tongue, putting on a small smile.

"My aunt is Midnight. She tells me things." I answered. "Basically they have a shit ton of things prepared for all sorts of events. Then when it's time for each round, there'll be an image on the screen. Think of it like a casino's jackpot machine, just with the one slot spinning until it lands on our event." I explained.
