Chapter 21: Festival introduction

"Kitten!" A voice echoed through the halls, making my ears twitch. I turn abruptly away from my classmates, my eyes widening slightly.

"Kitten?" Kaminari questioned, almost teasingly despite his arched eyebrow. A small smirk twitched onto his lips.

Ignoring his comment I slowly step away from everyone else. "Mom, Mama?" Sure, I was smiling on the inside, happy they were here but, "What are you doing here? What about my sister-"

My tone had first been one of confusion and slight concern before it completely changed. A grin met my features as my two sisters that weren't bed ridden were now in my line of sight. Mama must have been using her quirk to handle the two rascals because I spotted another clone of mama standing next to my two sisters.

From a light jog, followed by a sprint, I then flew towards them, tackling my two sisters in a bear crushing hug as they protested.

"I'm so happy that you're here, I didn't think you would come." I spoke as I hugged my sisters tightly before pulling away just enough to glance at him and then my parents. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"

"We wanted to surprise you." Mama said unwrapping his arm from mom's waist.

"Did you honestly think we would miss this?" Mom questioned, tilting her head ever so slightly.

"To be honest..."" I trailed off, letting go of my sisters completely. "A little..." I admitted. "I know that you're proud of how I got into UA without even applying, but I'm also still highly aware of how you don't exactly want me to live this sort of life."

"Kimi, for as long as we can remember after your quirks developed, you have trained so hard. Even your new quirks." Mama said, grabbing onto my shoulders. "With abilities like yours, we already knew that there was going to be no way of changing your mind once becoming a hero popped into your 7 year old head." She chuckled.

"We'll always worry, what parent wouldn't?" Mom said with a soft smile. "Not too long ago, you were left bedridden with injuries that could have been so much worse if it were anyone else."

"But that didn't seem to bug you at all." Mama's eyes filled with amusement and some leftover disbelief from the night of the 'accident'.

"You're stubborn, and determined, and without thinking or caring about the consequences you went all in and gave it everything you got. Not only to protect your classmates, but save a hero." She emphasized.

"How many proud mothers do you know can hold their head high and say that their outstanding daughter not only survived a villain attack, but saved a Pro hero, All might from serious injury? Heh." Mama was grinning like an idiot, giving me playful punches.

While my mother was playing the role of the overjoyed and proud mama, mom was getting emotional, holding her hands folded together, to her face like she was praying.

"I'm still trying to figure out how my little kitten got so brave..." Her eyes become teary, taking my face in her hands, staring into my red eyes. "When did my baby grow up?"

"Okay, first of all," I hold up one finger. "Seriously? Just because I have cat ears not does not mean you have to call me kitten. Second of all," I hold up another finger. "Mom, don't start talking like that. You'll cry, then dad's gonna get emotional and cry, and then you'll have me start." I scold, but giggle, handing my mother a tissue that Momo held out. She blew her nose as she apologized, fighting back the tears wanting to shed.

"I don't want to cut this short, but they're going to call us out any minute." I said, taking a quick glance and jabbing a thumb towards my fellow classmates, who were waiting for me.
