Chapter 17: Drunk on energy hehe

With yet another day of training, the students of 1-A weren't expecting to see Kimi Akio in her physical education uniform. Already speaking with Mr. Aizawa. If most were being honest, they didn't think she'd heal before the UA sports festival. Maybe even not be allowed- due to injuries -to participate. Just yesterday she was aching in pain, why would today be any different? They weren't alone in their thoughts, Mr. Aizawa also thought she should sit training out yet again.

Kimi was very much annoyed with this fact. She even pulled out her pouty kitten face that she had been working on. Her crimson red orbs became doe-eyed, her ears folding down softly, her tail slowly swaying behind her. Mr. Aizawa would be lying to himself if he didn't say he thought it was adorable, and didn't almost crack under her pouting feline gaze.

He looked at the ground, not meeting her eyes. "I still don't think it's a good idea for you to suddenly jump back into training. It would be your best bet not to take any risks," he said with his tired expression, as per usual, with a slight hint of concern in his authoritarian tone.

Narrowing her eyes, deliberately ignoring his words, she backs up away from him. Planning to prove him wrong, and how physically well she is. Turning her back to Mr. Aizawa, she takes off in a sprint, something she couldn't even do yesterday, doing a series of tumbling aerial tricks and flips.

Not only had she done the aerial tricks on a normal scale, with no hesitation whatsoever. She also used air to let herself jump higher into the air. Once she came to a flawless ending, her cat eyes returned to slits, but were the color yellow as her hair floated above her. Half of her body was encased with flames, while the floor beneath her was encased with a thin layer of ice. Lighting bolts shooting out of her at random. Not only demonstrating her flexibility and how she was once again a picture of 100% pure health, but that she was also capable of using her new quirks at the same time too. Sending her teacher a challenging faze, while everyone looked at her in awe.

Aizawa sighed. With a display like that, how could he refuse her the opportunity to train before the sports festival? "Alright fine, you can commence with your training. But don't complain if I were to say 'I told you so,' if something were to go wrong." Despite his tired and annoyed tone of voice, there was a lighthearted ring laced within.

If her actions weren't surprising enough, her newfound facial expression was. Her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree, a wide and childish grin danced upon her lips, her hands were clutched into cists, but everything about her in that moment just screamed joy and excitement. Her tail swished vigorously. She was bursting with so much energy that it came off her in waves. Doing yet one more back-flip as surges of power were released.

"Hey Todoroki san!" She called out, walking over to her grouped classmates. The smile hadn't left her face. "I still owe you a fight. I'll try to go easy on you, ok? Even though I haven't seen a villain today, I wouldn't want you ending up like Nomu! Or even worse! You are only human after all." She spoke with a grin, hands behind her back as she stood there innocently. Not a single trace of malice or distain within her.

'How could someone so destructive, quiet and cold say that with such a sweet smile and be so energetic and adorable?? So Kawaii.' The class thought with light blushes on their faces, a couple covering their tinted cheeks or turning their heads away.

Todoroki fought the uprising heat to his face as he stared at the cat girl with a slightly widened gaze. She was acting differently than how she'd normally behave. A side to her that hasn't been seen. His heart beat in his chest; so loud that the rhythm of its thumping made it to his ears.

Brushing off the strange feelings in his chest, forcing away any tinting to his skin through the blood rush, he narrowed his eyes ever so slightly. Keeping up his icy aloof exterior.
