It had been a few weeks since Y/n returned to Elm Tree House. Liam and Sapphire had helped her get back into routine, eating properly, sleeping properly and being able to see the others. Everyone was still very careful around her, making sure not to trigger her or hurt her but everything was now pretty much back to normal.
Y/n was up on her branch reading her book when she heard a scream coming from the bushes. She quickly climbed down, put her book on the bench and ran over to where Lilly, Tee and Carmen were, Toby, Johnny, Liam and Tracy following close behind.
"What happened?" Y/n asked a terrified Carmen.
"I went to go get the ball from the bush and then something threw it back and I saw a monster!" Carmen whimpered, pointing at the bush.
"Right." Y/n sighed before making her way into the bush, looking around. "Are you positive you saw something?" She asked, a branch getting caught in her hair, "Ow!"
"It was a monster! With big teeth and fur and red eyes!" Carmen complained, Tee and Lilly were hugging each other while the rest watched. "It was horrible!"
"Well there is nothing here now so we might as well-" Y/n paused, looking into the bush, "Oh hang on." Tracy stood in front of everyone protectively, waiting to find out what Y/n had seen. Y/n picked up a crumbly sort of food wrapped in cling film and her face scrunched up, "What's this?" Y/n asked, climbing out of the bush as Tracy walked over to her.
"Hang on, this is the fruit cake I baked last week!" Tracy complained, taking it from Y/n, "You lot said you'd eaten it all!" Tracy turned to face the others.
"We didn't want to hurt your feelings." Toby told her, smiling slightly.
"So you thought you'd chuck it in a bush?" Tracy raised her eyebrows, "That's the last time I bake you lot anything!" Everyone silently cheered and high-fived each other.
"Well it solves the mystery," Y/n started, "The cake will have attracted like a fox or a badger or something." She looked at Carmen who quickly shook her head.
"No no! It was much bigger!"
"And foxes can't throw balls!" Tracy agreed with her and Y/n sighed, "I think we should take another look around!"
"Tracy, you need to complete that coursework!" Y/n told her, "You know it's due this evening. Come on guys, back inside!" Liam walked over to Y/n, slipping his hand into hers and they started following the others inside.
"Where are you lot going?" Carmen asked, "Don't you wanna find out what it was?" Y/n looked at her sympathetically.
"Come on Carmen let's go." She waved Carmen over.
"No." Carmen turned back to the bush before quickly running to catch her friends up.

Y/n was now sitting in the living room with her book. Gus was sat on the table and Liam was playing the guitar game on the telly, Frank being there for support. Y/n found herself looking at Liam more than the book, she found his concentrating face very attractive. Johnny walked in and looked at him, making his way over to Gus.
"He's still on that game?" Johnny asked Gus.
"He said he could beat my high score." Gus told him, "I said if he did, he could have my guitar, Liam said 'challenge accepted', that was three days, five hours..." Gus looked down at his watch, "And a bit ago."
"Towel." Liam called and Frank got up, wiping his forehead with the towel.
"I don't mind him doing it," Y/n looked up from her book, "I think it makes him look hot." She watched Liam smirk before quickly turning his attention back to the tv. Carmen came rushing in and sat next to Y/n who was watching Liam.
