Chapter 32 ~ The kiss

Y/n had been on bed rest for three days since the accident. She had felt perfectly fine after a day of rest but Liam and Jack insisted on her staying in bed for another two. She wanted to get back to the Dumping Ground to make sure everyone was okay because they had never gone three days without Y/n visiting in the few years since she left and it felt weird not to be there. She wasn't going to complain about the lack of course work she had to do though.

"Hey love." Liam smiled, walking into their room with a tray that held a plate of pancakes and a glass of iced coffee.

"You do know I can get breakfast myself now?" Y/n giggled as he sat down next to her.

"That's fine, I'll just eat these pancakes then." Liam smirked, picking up the fork and lifting a chunk of pancake to his mouth before Y/n quickly grabbed the tray,

"I love you." She smiled at him, kissing him on the cheek and he chuckled at her, still putting the chunk of pancake that he had picked up in his mouth. She used the knife that was on the tray to cut the stack of pancakes in half and she placed the tray on the bed between her and Liam, "Here." She pushed half of the stack towards him on the plate with the knife.

"I was joking you know," He smiled at her, "I can make myself some more pancakes." He offered, starting to get up but she pulled him back down by his sleeve,

"Eat." She told him firmly, "Otherwise I'll feel bad." He rolled his eyes at her playfully and sat back down.

"You're adorable." He smiled at her before giving her a sweet kiss.

"I know." Y/n smirked, flicking her hair over her shoulder, causing Liam to snort.

After the two had finished their breakfast, Liam and Jack both had to go to college/work, leaving Y/n in the house on her own with a warning : "Stay in bed," Jack had told her, "You need the rest." Liam agreed with his brother for once before they had both walked out of the door. Y/n sighed, walking downstairs before her phone pinged. She pulled it out of her pocket to see a 'missed call' notification. She opened it to see that Gus had called her so she called him back. It rang three times before Gus's voice could be heard on the other end of the phone,

"Hello Gus Carmichael speaking."

"Hey Gus it's Y/n, why'd you call?"

"Oh, Y/n. I haven't received my daily 'Y/n call and conversation' for the past three days and it's ruining my schedule, I need my daily 6 o'clock Y/n call otherwise the day doesn't work-" He started to rant,

"Gus, Gus listen," Y/n calmed him down, "I'm sorry I haven't been able to call you, I got into a bit of an accident a few days ago and I've been in bed since."

"You urinated in your pants?" Gus assumed and Y/n snorted,

"No Gus I was hit by a car," She couldn't help but laugh, "But I'm alright now, I assure you, you will receive your daily 6 o'clock Y/n catch up tonight don't worry."

"Okay. Don't get hit by another car. Goodbye Y/n Avery."

"Goodbye Gus Carmichael." Y/n smiled before putting the phone down and she soon received another phone ping. She looked at her phone to see a message from Mike,

'Hey kiddo, how are you doing? Faith is coming home from the hospital and the kids have planned a surprise for her, you're very welcome to come if you're feeling up to it but don't worry if not :)'

She smiled at the message before throwing her jacket and shoes on and hopping on her bike.

It wasn't long before she reached Ashdene Ridge and she opened the door with the spare key that Mike and May-Li had given her.
