Sapphire was making two cups of tea for her and Y/n as they both leant on the counter while Tracy cleaned it.
"So she's been in New York for how long now?" Sapphire asked Tracy, referring to Cam.
"Three weeks," Tracy looked up from where she was cleaning the hob, "One more to go." She looked back down, rubbing the cloth on the surface thoroughly.
"Oh wow," Y/n took her cup of tea off the counter and held it in her hands, "A whole month with the flat to yourself!" It had been a month since Y/n got back from the hospital and she had to wear a brace around her stomach and chest. Unfortunately, she was told to keep it on for the next three months.
"It's been great! Honestly Saph you're gonna love living on your own!" Tracy beamed, "I'm having such a good time!" Sapphire and Y/n looked at each other, raising their eyebrows before looking back at Tracy.
"Really?" Sapphire asked her,
"Yeah! Parties every night!" Tracy exaggerated.
"Then why are you here Tracy?" Sapphire asked, causing Tracy to look up and her eyebrows knitted together,
"Hm?" Tracy hummed, confused.
"Why are you here cleaning the kitchen at eight o'clock in the evening?" Y/n looked at her watch, "If you're having such a good time, why have you been doing all the jobs here that you usually avoid?"
"Just wanted to get it done." Tracy shrugged, avoiding their questions.
"Right." Sapphire nodded at Y/n and they both walked out. On their way upstairs they bumped into Gina, "You're right," Sapphire told the lady, "Something's definitely up with Beaker." They didn't stop to chat, instead they both went straight to their room, plonking down on their beds with their mugs in their hands. Y/n's brace dug into her chest as she sat down and she groaned, putting her mug on the windowsill.
"Stupid brace!" She muttered, straightening her back and twisting the brace around until it was comfortable.
"How long are you supposed to wear that thing for?" Sapphire chuckled at her.
"Three more months." Y/n huffed before picking her mug back up and taking a large sip.
"No messing about with Liam for three months then?" Sapphire joked, earning a glare from Y/n.
"Ha ha." Y/n said sarcastically, "Like what do they expect me to do for the next three months? Just sit and drink tea? And what's worse, they said I have to go on three runs a week once I get it off to keep up my bone strength or whatever!" She complained.
"Man I'm gonna be extra careful around the stairs from now on if it means running three times a week!" Sapphire teased.
"Oh jog on." Y/n muttered before realising what she said and the two burst out laughing before being interrupted by a knock on the door, "Yeah?" Y/n called out and Liam popped his head round the door.
"Speak of the devil." Sapphire mumbled and Liam frowned at them.
"You two were speaking about me?" Liam asked, stepping inside.
"Yeah I was just saying how you can't-" Sapphire started before Y/n threw a cushion at her,
"No shut up!" Y/n hissed at her and Sapphire just laughed.
"Okay..." Liam looked at the two suspiciously, "Well there is a house meeting in the kitchen so come on." He held his hand out and Y/n stood up and took it before they walked out, Sapphire close behind them.
Once they got to the kitchen, Sapphire sat on the table while Liam hopped onto the counter and pulled Y/n up to sit on his lap, placing his hands on her sides.
