"You could escape and hide on the Cuthberts wagon! Oh, I forgot to tell you. The people taking me are the Cuthberts, a brother, and sister both well into age. I suppose they haven't found love because of tragic romances. Anyways, once you get there you could hide and maybe... oh! You could try to get someone from town to take you in. If not, I can beg the Cuthberts to take you in. They sound like very nice people. I'm sure they would!" Anne exclaimed almost too fast for me to understand.

Good thing she rants a lot because if I weren't experienced, I wouldn't have understood one word that came out of her mouth.

Could this plan be worth the risk? It sounds impossible... but I would rather die than be left behind. I guess it doesn't hurt to try. Though it sort of would, it would result in no supper for probably a week and kitchen duty for about a month.

"We would need to make sure every detail is in place before the week is over. It may not work, but if it doesn't, I could come back to the orphanage. We can try to do our best and ask God if he could favor us just this once." I said carefully to make sure she didn't get her hopes up. 

Normally we don't pray except when the preacher ends his message and asks us to bow our heads. After all, why would we place our trust in a God who lets us be penniless orphans while others have a perfect family and riches beyond compare? 

But still, I find myself turning to him time after time. I guess it's the need to rely on something. Someone. 

I've never had anyone except Anne to rely on but sometimes it feels like she doesn't understand the kind of pain I go through. She can just tuck her thoughts away and live in a fantasy world. 

I cannot.

I can't stop thinking about horrible things. And right now, I'm worrying myself sick. Imagine how horrible it would be for me to ruin my only chance at being happy. I guess I just have to hope God hears my cries for help this time.
