It's a long chapter!

I feel the same about this story as I did with fugo and Mista. that's a REALLY good thing as I'm genuinely motivated. That might be noticeable from how much I post tho... lol

This story features Diegos backstory, but I'm a bit unsure if I made it fit in well or not so I'd really appreciate some feedback on that <3

"Scary Monsters!" While I was on the ground, desperately trying to take proper breaths, Diego sprinted towards the unknown man.

"W... Di..." I tried and tried to speak, but I couldn't. Diego's skin turned scaly and his teeth became sharp, but I worried. I wasn't even sure if the enemy was a stand user or not.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" Ah, maybe he isn't.

"I'll kill you! I'll rip your throat out!" Diego gritted his teeth as he jumped at the man. I activated Purple Rain, hoping it'd be helpful in any way. The rain began to fall, along with thunder and lighting painting the sky. As usual, the droplets quickly stuck to my target for this. I was even kind enough to set aside my hatred for Dio to make sure he wouldn't be affected.

His claws stretched far out of his hands as they dug into the stranger's arm. Though, the man kicked his legs around Diego's neck and threw him onto the ground. It looked a bit like he was forcefully trying to teach a dog to sit.

"Di... Diego..." I muttered, the knife still lodged into my throat. While the man was busy strangling Dio, I crawled over from behind and sat up properly. Neither of them had a clear view on me now, and the rain wasn't to their favor. I pulled the knife out of my neck, forcing it into the back of the stranger. He stopped moving almost immediately, which meant I must have hit the heart.

He fell to the side, clutching at his heart for a second or two before turning into the corpse he was doomed to be. I, on the other hand, had to put pressure on the wound on my neck. Quite honestly, I thought I was going to die while Diego de-transformed and crouched by my side.

"Relax, you'll be fine." He pulled out some bandages, and something that he'd place on the wound underneath it. "Look, uh... I sorta have to clean this blood up, and I don't think you'll like it."

"Huh?" He placed his arm around me and held me close as he leaned in by my neck. I couldn't even react fast enough, because no way in hell was I expecting him to do that. Who in their right mind licks a person's wound?!

"There we go." He said as he placed the supplies around my neck. "You're good, the stab wound was shallow."

"Diego, what the fuck." I was flabbergasted, but a part of me kind of... Liked it.

"What? I saved your life, didn't I, Darling?" He smirked and stood up, walking back to his horse. "Come on now, let's leave this fucker to the vultures."

"You know, while I have grown to tolerate you..." Diego twisted the water out of his hat while I was setting up camp. "...I'm not so sure I tolerate your stand."

"Oh, really? You tolerate me now?" I pretend to be flattered while he glared in annoyance.

"You're focusing on the wrong things! Your stand has us both soaked now, and the sun hasn't been out today to make us dry. What do you expect us to do, Y/N? Freeze our asses off tonight?!" He became so agitated that his mouth began to turn into Scary Monsters. I laughed at his frustration, which only made him more whiny.
