The feeling fear and awe of something before you, whether that’s a fierce oncoming storm or your crush approaching you.

"Hey, Y/N, what will you do if you'd win?" Gyro asked as we were getting further into the forest.

"If I win? Well, I have a goal in mind, but... I guess you could say it's private." Hopefully I wouldn't have to say more, because I really didn't want to.

"Private? Not to be that person, but you got me curious now... Nyo-ho!" Gyro grinned as he leaned closer, and I was forced to come up with some way to change to subject.

Instead, I snatched his hat off his head, placing it on my head.

"Hah! Got it." I teased, feeling satisfied.

"Uh... You probably shouldn't do that." Johnny's eyes widened, and I scoffed.

"Why not? I know he probably got lice, but it can't be that bad, can it?" The hat was a bit too big for me, and covered my entire forehead.

"No, uh... Have you ever heard of the quote 'Wear the hat, ride the cowboy'?"

"No? What does it mean?"

"Well, when you wear a man's cowboy hat... You have to... You know... Ride the cowboy..." He practically forced the words out, and I laughed.

"I see, then here." I placed it on Johnny's head instead. "Have fun."

"Wait! I- It doesn't work like tha-..." He stopped mid sentence. I turned to Johnny, wondering why he wasn't throwing up nonsense like usual.

"Johnny? What's the matter?" He handed the hat back to Gyro and I saw what he was seeing.

Diego.

"Hello there, the three amigos!" He greeted, being surprisingly happy. Something was extremely wrong.

"Diego? What are you doing? Why are you talking to us?" I asked as we rushed down a hill.

"Well, the other day, I was traveling and found myself stuck. I could either pass on the side with the rattle snakes, or the cougars. I was stuck, and thinking of how to escape... But then, for some reason, I was able to pass through one side of the roads." He explained happily.

"Diego, what the fuck are you talking about?"

"I was able to get through one of the sides easily. Which one do you think it was? The cougars or the rattle snakes?" When none of us replied, he answered the question for us. "The answer is the rattle snakes! Because they were asssssleep... And ssssssnoring on the side of the road!"

"Huh?" Gyro and Johnny looked at each other confused as Diego laughed. While I was extremely weirded out, I actually couldn't help but smile at the joke. It was a terrible joke! It wasn't even funny! I just had to smile, I had to! It was... A little bit funny.

"Hey, come on! It's a joke! Only a joke! What do you think?" Diego asked once we didn't say anything. "Then maybe they woke up and started ssssslaping each other... In their facessss... Get it?"

"Oh, I get it! I get the joke!" I chuckled, stupid as it was. "It's a terrible joke, but it's a bit funny!"

"See? She gets it! She gets the joke!" Diego turned to me with a smirk on his face. "Clearly, you have humor unlike these other two."
