Redamancy
A love returned in full; an act of loving the one who loves you; the act of loving in return.

"Your name was Y/N L/N, right?" President Valentine asked as we walked through a hallway. He had brought me to a large house in another city, where I was followed by two guards wherever I went.

"Yes, sir." I replied back, shaking from fear of what would happen to me.

"I see. Now, I'm going to take the spine from you, just like I said. But I can't let you go until I've found Diego. The two men behind you will be with you at all times, is that understood?" He had entered a room, and I followed.

"Y- Yes, sir." I replied.

"Good, now I ask you to patiently sit still while I take this part." He held out one of the corpse eyes as he walked around me to my back. Considering he was still looking for Diego, that must have been the eye that once belonged to Gyro.

He pressed the eye to my back, and the spine was ripped out of me. I fell to the floor in pain, but the guards roughly grabbed me to keep me in a standing position.

"Good girl. I'm not cruel, Y/N. You can walk around freely in this house, and ask the maids for food. The guards will have to be by your side, though. Even in the bathroom." He smiled widely with his fingers tracing along the corpse part. "Now go, I don't want to see you around here anymore."

"...Yes, sir." I left the room, looking back into the hallway I came from. For every step I took, the guards took the same amount. I didn't enjoy having them breathe down my neck, but I also suppose I should grant myself lucky for being alive. "Uhm, excuse me?" I asked as I stopped to turn around.

"What is it?" The blond guard on the left asked rudely.

"When will I be able to go back to the race? We passed the next stage on our way here, and I really need to go through it." The guards burst out in laughter from my question, looking at each other like I was asking not to be killed on my way to the guillotine.

"The president didn't tell you, did he?" The brunette one on the right asked.

"Tell me what?" I inquired.

"You're a drop-out now. You're not part of the race anymore."

"W- What?! No, I have to finish the race! You don't understand, it's life-changing! I have to win- I-" The blond guard slammed his gun against the wall, causing me to jump.

"Shut up! We don't care about your sob story. If you don't listen to us, we'll kill you. The president will surely believe us if we just told him we were trying to keep you from escaping." He almost growled in my face, and I pressed my back against the wall. The tears uncontrollably streamed down my face.

"I-... I've lost everything. I don't have anyone, and I haven't got a chance to survive in this world anymore. There's nothing left." I sobbed, holding my own stomach. If I hadn't been leaning on the wall, I surely would have fallen over as well.

"See? We'll do you a favor by killing you right here." The brunett added with a cold tone.

"No, I can't die! I don't see a reason why, but I just know I can't! If anything I have to... I have to help the others." I continued to cry, feeling entirely helpless in their presence. The blond guard placed his hand on the wall at my left, making sure to cover any escape ways.

"Don't worry, we'll kill you quickly." Then, a switch was flipped inside my brain. I didn't think, I just acted. Without hesitation, I slid under the guard's arm and literally ran for my life. I had no idea where I was going, or what the architecture of this house looked like. All I knew was that I had to run.
