"FINN!" Violet sobbed, banging on the heavy metal door as she screamed.
She screamed for nearly two hours, banging and kicking at the door, even punching it before somebody paid any sort of attention, opening the large door was a man.
Dressed in full personal protective equipment, scaring the crap out of Violet as she screamed, backing herself up into a corner."It's just for my safety, I won't hurt you." He took a seat on a small white stool in front of a white table, as Violet took a seat across from him.
"Where is my Dad?"
"Uhm, well you're not related to anybody here darling."
"Don't freaking call me darling, where's my mom?"
"I told you, nobody here is your family."
"Raven Reyes, where is she?"
"We don't-"
"RAVEN REYES," She sobbed, "WHERE IS SHE!"
"Look, kid. She's not here, we got nobody under that name here!"
"Bull!" She argued, "What about Murphy, is he here?"
"No."
"So who else is here? Don't tell me I'm the only one!" She spit.
The man rose from the small white wooden chair, standing in front of her at an uncomfortably close distance.
"You know, you yell a lot for a tiny kid. I think you've yelled the most out of everybody else here."
"So there are more people! Tell me who!"He sighed, rubbing his temples through the uncomfortable paper suit, "We have Jasper Jordan, Monty Green, Clarke Grif-"
"I wanna see Clarke."
"Well, I have to process you out first."
"So freaking process me out!" She slammed her fists on the table, groaning as he took out a paper."This is stupid, we can do this later! I wanna see my friends!"
"Sit the fuck down."
"What?"
"Sit your ass down, I'm not playing any games. We're finalizing this paper work."She sighed, sitting down as he took out a pen and cleared his throat. "Full name?"
"Violet James."
"James is your last name?"
"No, that's my middle."
"I said full name, first, middle and last."
He gave Violet an unamused stare, his leg tapping on the floor impatiently, while she sat in silence for a moment.
"Collins."
"Violet James Collins," he etched his pen into the paper, moving down to the next question.
"Date of birth?"
"June 28th, 2140.""Same day as my girlfriend."
She groaned under her breath, annoyed by his comment."Can we be done?"
"Can you shut up? Last question, do you agree to swear to nothing but the truth when asked by the President?"
"The what?"
"The government and president."
"Yeah sure, whatever."
"Sign here and then your free." He handed Violet a pen, pointing to a line, with the words "sign here".
She stared at the page blankly, fumbling with the pen in her hand and looked up at the man with a blank expression.
"I said sign it? It's not hard."
"I- uh, yeah."
"Write your name, c'mon kid!" He slammed his hand on the table, standing up as he moved behind her and grabbed her hand, squeezing it and the pen as he messily wrote the name for her. "See? Not that fucking hard!"
"Let go of me!" She pulled her arm away from him, giving him a dirty look as he cussed under his breath.
"Come on, let's go."
"Where?"
"To your fucking friends! Let's go!" He grabbed Violets arm above her elbow, grasping it uncomfortably tight as he practically dragged her towards the door, picking up a pair of white velcro sneakers and handing them to her, as she sat down on the floor, angrily fumbling with them as she slid them over her heels with a struggle.
"They're too tight."
"Deal with it, come on." He pulled the heavy metal door, echoing as it creaked open.
She stood up, walking ahead of him for a moment, before he grabbed her ponytail, pulling her back towards him and stopping her.
"I lead the way, you don't even know where you're going." He hissed, pulling the black elastic out of her hair and pulling it tightly."Hey! Let go of my hair!"
"Stay still!"
"LET GO OF ME!" She yelled, trying her best to pull away from him.
A loud crack echoed through the tall hallway, as Violet gasped.
She held her hand over her cheek, a red handprint embalmed over her cheek.
She stood still as tears started falling down her cheek, him still grabbing at her hair as he pulled and twisted it into an uncomfortably tight bun at the middle of her head, and shoved her, forcing her to walk.
"Tell anyone what just happened and I'll kill you."
