"Violet?" Jasper nearly choked on the food he was eating, looking over by the main doors to the dining hall, seeing a man in full equipment walking Violet in.
"Oh, my god!" Clarke breathed, standing up from her seat and running towards Violet.
"Violet!"
She dropped onto her knees, wrapping her arms around Violet as the little girl pulled her arms around her too.
"I'm so glad you're okay." She whispered, letting go of Violet after a few moments.

"Why don't you get Violet some food?"  The man who took Violets processing info spoke, watching them.

"Yeah, come on Violet." Clarke stood up, leading Violet towards the table they had been sitting at, picking her up and setting her down on a chair.
Clarke sat down next to her, whispering to her, "Did they hurt you? Did they do anything?"
She thought about telling Clarke for a moment, before shaking her head as Clarke seemed to relax, be less tense.

Monty and Jasper across from her.
"Mhmm, dude- Violet, you gotta try this! So good." Jasper mumbled in between bites, putting a small slice of cake on a gold shimmery fork, and offering it to Violet.
She shook her head, refusing the offer as she chewed on her finger nails.

"C'mon, try a little piece!" Monty coaxed, looking at her as she sighed and took the small piece of cake.

"It's good right?" Jasper waited for her response, as she watching as her face grew sour.
She shook her head, grabbing a napkin off the table as she spit it out in the napkin.

"I'm not hungry." She gave a nervous chuckle, wiping her mouth with her sleeve.
"Hey, w-where's Finn?"
The three others sat in silence, exchanging worried glances before Clarke spoke up.
"He didn't make it."
"What?"
"Violet, he didn't make it."
"N-no, that's a lie! I call bull! What about Raven?"
Clarke shook her head solemnly.
"Murphy?"
"I'm sorry, it's just us so far."
"No! It can't just be us, what the fuck!" Violet raised her voice out of panic, as others began turning and looking at her.
"Sorry."

"I'm gonna get some more food." Jasper sighed, standing up as he took his plate with him.
"I don't wanna be here anymore." Violet whimpered, leaning over onto Clarke, her head resting on her shoulder. "Neither do I, come on." Clarke muttered, looking at Monty as she cleared her throat, "I'm gonna go apologize to Maya, and get something for Violet."
"Okay, try the pie. So good." Monty spoke in between bites, indulging in the deliciousness of his pie.
Clarke stood up, picking up a black binder with a map on the cover as she brushed her white leggings off and waited for Violet, who got off the chair, holding onto her hand as she followed Clarke towards the other end of the room, Jasper and a girl sitting at a small table and talking.

"Who's Maya? Why are you saying sorry?"
"Just stay quiet, don't say anything." Clarke whispered, walking up to a girl with brown locks, and Jasper.

"Hey, it's Maya, right?" Clarke put down the black binder on the table, looking at the girl as she nodded, looking at Jasper uncomfortably.
"I just wanted to say sorry for this morning. I was scared and worried about my friends, I hope you can understand that."
Maya nodded slowly, as Clarke smiled at both her and Jasper.
"Thanks, uhm, this is Violet by the way."
Maya smiled, saying hi as Violet waved gently, staring at her feet.
"See you around." Clarke spoke, putting her hand on Violets shoulder, leading her away.
"We're getting out of here, okay?"
"I wanna go home." Her voice broke.
"I know, I know you do, okay? We'll get there soon. I promise, we just need to find a way out of here." Clarke took a right into a long hallway, holding onto Violets hand.
The halls were uncomfortably long, and tall, probably ten times Violets height.
"Finn's really gone? And Raven too?"
"No, I don't think so. Whatever the stupid President and his people said has got to be a lie, there's no chance only a few of us lived. They're out there somewhere."
"Okay, so we just have to get out of here. Right?"
"Right, it shouldn't be too hard. The map they gave us has one exit labeled."
Violet jumped, covering her ears as a loud alarm began blaring.
"Alert. Code 5."

"We're not prisoners, huh?" Clarke held onto Violets hand with a more firm grip, picking up the pace.
"Come on, run!"
The hallway divided into multiple small rooms, the one ahead of them looking like some sort of mechanics room, pipings and tubes exposed on every wall.

"Oh, crap." Violet muttered, stopping in her tracks, as what seemed like a dozen armed people came running at them, from in front of them. Clarke turned around, another dozen running at them from that direction.
"Son of a bitch." Clarke whispered, pulling on Violets hand, taking the only open hallway, quickly being chased by the guards.
"W-wait!" Violet groaned, stopping as Clarke turned around.
"What the hell are you doing? Come on!"
She grumbled, hopping on one foot as she pulled the white sneakers off her foot, one after the other, leaving them behind.
"Okay, now we can run!"
She held onto Clarke's hand again, following the hallway as best as possible, until it came to and end.
A black metal door, reading "Restricted Area Authorized Personnel Only."
Clarke let go of her hand, fumbling with something in her pocket as she swiped a blue card through a reader, beeping as it flashed green, the door opening as she pushed Violet through the door, echoing as she pulled it shut behind her.

Two different sets of stairs, on either side of them became their path.
"Shit." Clarke whispered, pulling on two black wires on the door, until they disconnected with a spark.
"This way, come on!" Clarke started up the stairs to the right, Violet running behind her, both of them out of breath and breathing quickly.
The stairwell was cold, and wet like the cave they encountered a few weeks ago, small lights held onto the walls lighting up the area.
Red signs battered the area, "Emergency Evacuation Route."

Clarke turned a sharp corner, as Violet kept up behind her.
A loud slam echoed, as Violet slipped on the now linoleum flooring, her back slamming into the last of the steps, as she groaned.
She was back on her feet by the time Clarke had even noticed she fell, catching up to her quickly, both of them standing in front of another large metal door.
This one, held by a steel lever as Clarke held onto it, pulling it.
"Damn it!" She groaned, looking around as a large metal wheel in the door catching her eye, as she began turning it to the left, squeaking as she did so.
After a full revolution, she moved back towards the lever, pulling on it as she jumped.
"CLARKE, NO!"
Both her and Violet turned around, Jasper and Maya standing more than a few feet in front of them.
"If you pull that lever, these people will die." Almost out of instinct, Maya turned, moving behind one of the walls.
"Even a little radiation could kill them, they're not acclimated to it like us!"

The sound of a gun cocking echoed, as Clarke pushed Violet behind herself, still holding onto the lever.
"Don't make me shoot you." Maya spoke, pointing a gun at the two of them.

"Wait, wait!" Jasper stood in front of the gun, almost forcing Maya to stop as he turned and stood in front of the two girls.
"Clarke, don't do this."
"I don't believe them." Clarke whispered, shaking her head.
"Why would they lie?" Jasper looked down at Violet and back up at Clarke.
"Listen to me. We are safe here. Because of you, we're safe."
"Not all of us." Clarke shook her head, "Violet doesn't wanna be here, Jasper. I don't wanna be here."
"Clarke, give her to me." Maya spoke, her hand reaching out towards Violet, as she put the shotgun down.
"N-no!" Violet burst into tears, holding onto Clarke's legs with her hands.
"I'm the one that fired the rockets. Should I not have done that?" Jasper asked quietly, his eyes tearing up as he swallowed.
"Clarke, when you pulled that lever you saved lives. Don't throw that away by pulling this one."
A loud slam echoed, as footsteps started coming closer and closer.

"There they are! Hold it right there, hands up! Hands up!"
Six machine guns were now pointed at Violet and Clarke, as Violet hid her face away from the guards, holding her arms around Clarke as she tried to stop crying.
Clarke exhaled, pushing Violet away from her as she put her hands up and sat on her knees. "Violet, do what I'm doing. Now!"
Violet coughed, sitting down on the cold flooring with her hands above her head as she watched two of the guards cuff Clarke, before one of them knelt down in front of her, cuffing her own hands together.
"Shouldn't have tried to run Clarke. This is your home now."
