He ran after me, but I've had experience being practically hunted down. I went down unexpected trails, made quick and sharp turns, until I was out of his sight. I stopped at a pond, weird swimming creatures gracefully floating inside. I looked at my reflection while catching my breath and clearing my mind. I looked at myself, wondering, is this who I am now? Just a fugitive on the run. A hopeless criminal. Well, whoever I am now, I need to find that other human. I got up and started walking towards a house, with a weirdly shaped roof, and a connected, grey, old-looking tower. I watched through the tinted windows, and saw a grey-haired lady in a red dress, some kind of small demon.. thing, and a teenage girl in a cat hoodie. Her ears were rounded.. was she? Was she the human I was looking for? She must have been. I stepped up to the door, about to knock. "WHAT THE FUCK" I shouted, out of pure surprise, as some weird owl-worm-demon thing popped out. I stepped back, pretty ready to fight it if I had to. Turns out, that was enough of a knock. The teenager came to the door, not knowing what the noise was.

"Uh.. hi? Uhm, are you a human?" I asked.

"EDAAAAA THEY FOUND ME" She yelled at the top of her lungs.

"No- I am too." I swept my hair out of my face, revealing my rounded, human ears.

"Oh!" She said, while the grey-haired lady already rushing to the door before I could explain.

"Oh, uh, I'm kind of on the run, and I do t know where I am.. or how I am here. I kinda.. need a place? Is that ok? I can always go somewhere else. Well, not really."

The grey-haired lady just blankly stared at me.

"Oh, uhm, I'm Y/N L/N. Can I PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEAAASE. Stay here?"

I tried to look as innocent as possible, which is a bit hard with burnt edges on my clothes and dark eye bags.

The grey-haired lady sighed. "Fine. But on certain condi-"

"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOUUU"They moved aside, as if to say 'come on in.' I stepped inside, somewhat cautiously. She started explaining the conditions in which she'll let me stay, after they finally gave me some names, and she took hourssss. And I mean HOURSSS. But when she was finally done, it was so late I just went to bed in a sleeping bag.

TIME SKIP

I awoke the next morning and stretched, ready to get my day started. I was still excited to be in a new world, even if I'm a wanted criminal. I got dressed, brushed my hair, and then brushed my teeth. I opened up the window, and felt the refreshing breeze on my face. The air sweeped my lovely H/C behind my face. "Good morning, odd fantasy world!" I shouted, excited to go somewhere, or do something! I soon after closed the colorful, tinted windows, and started to walk downstairs. "Oh hey, why are you guys getting ready? Are you gonna go somewhere?"

"Yeah, we need to go into town." Eda said, putting on her boots.

"Can I come?" I asked excitedly.

"I don't know, Y/N." Luz said, since I'm easily recognizable.

"Please???? I'll try not to stand out too much, and I won't show my ears!"

"Well.. I suppose." Luz replied, still a bit unsure.

My face lit up, and I put on my shoes. I grabbed a hoodie so I could hide my ears, too. We walked over, while me and Luz were discussing the most random of topics, like if Sailor Moon is better than She-rah, and so forth. When we finally arrived, I looked around the place, mesmerized. But then, in the corner of my eyes, I saw my wanted poster. It said "WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE." But I knew, that didn't mean wanted 'dead or alive'. It meant 'wanted dead'. But instead, Luz caught my attention.

"Hey, Y/N, look at this!" She exclaimed, holding up an oddly-shaped seashell.

"Oh, cool." I said, still thinking about the poster. I felt eyes on me. I turned around, seeing a dark alley. As well as someone I really didn't want to see.

Hunter.

L-Luz.. I whispered, tapping on her back.

"Yeah, Y/N?"

I pointed towards the alley nervously.

"Oh.. Eda. We have to-" apparently Eda was just a bit too far away to hear or see what was going on, and King was with her, too.

I felt something.. directly behind me. Stressed out, I turned around slowly. He was ready for a fight.

"Oh.. that's.. lovely."

He formed a golden circle, right in front of me. I covered my head, expecting to be physically hurt. When I opened my eyes, I was trapped in a bubble and he was fighting Luz. I screamed and banged on the bubble.

"No point in being loud. You're just wasting oxygen." He shouted, not even looking at me.

Wasting.. oxygen? Oh. That means..

Luz was giving it her all, and she knocked him down, and released me from his bubble. I fell to the ground and tried to catch my breath, relieved. But then he was behind me, again. He was holding a dagger to my throat.

"OH, YOU MOTHERF-"

"Hey, watch your tongue, why don't you?" He said, obviously taunting me. Luz grabbed a few glyphs from her pocket, and shot them right at him. He fell backwards, releasing me from his grasp. I grabbed Luz's arm, and ran straight to Eda, telling her the situation. She grabbed her magic staff, and we flew home, while I was still in shock.

I knew the sign said 'wanted dead or alive', but I didn't expect for him not even to try to take me back alive. Looks like I'm in for it now.
