Y/N pov
I dragged Jake up the stairs to a small room and gave him a loincloth.
He looked at me confused. "Go in there and put this on. I'll wait out here." I handed it him as he entered the room.
"Is this it?" he asked. "This barely covers my junk."
"Well I don't know what your 'junk' is." I said. "But you'll earn your cummerbund after you pass your uniltaron and you'll get your knife soon enough."
As he stepped out of the room, you couldn't help but admire his body. His chest was muscular and toned and his arm looked strong, as did his legs. He looked at me and snickered a little.
"Like what you see?" he said smugly.
"W-What? N-No" I said flustered. "Just follow me, it's time for food."
He follows me as I lead him to the area where we eat. As we walked in, everybody was staring at him. I walked through the squatted crowd and reached the food taking some for myself and Jake. I went to sit next to my family when mother nudged me suggesting I sit next to the outsider, I rolled my eyes and obliged.
He stumbled through the crowd, stepped on other people's tail and hit people in the face with his own. He apologised and sat down next to me. I handed him his food and began eating when he interrupted me.
"You and sister never told me your names." he said
"I am Y/N te Ckaha Mo'at'itan." I said, earning a confused look.
"Okay, again, a whole lot slower" he said
"Y/N." I repeated.
"Y/N, that a nice name" he admitted, making me blush slightly. "What about your sister?"
"Ask her yourself." I said. "She'll be teaching you our language."
"Speaking of language." He said. "How are you so good at English?" I sat there, remembering Grace's school, just as I was about to tell him, I remembered that die, when I lost my other sister, Sylwanin.
"I leant it somewhere, have you finished?" I asked.
He nodded and I ushered him towards me. "You better get some sleep" I said.
We made our way towards the hammocks and I jumped into my own. He hopped into the one next to me and faced me. I pulled the hammock over myself and turned away, falling asleep.
Jake pov
I woke up in my link capsule, Grace shinning a light in my eyes.
"Come on back, kid, that's it." she said. "Damn you were dug in like a tick. Is the avatar safe?"
"Yeah Doc" I said smiling. "And you'll never believe where I am."

At breakfast the next day. We all sat around the table Grace explaining what happened yesterday.
"The last thing I see is him being chased into the forest by an angry thanator. Come to find out, he's managed to wriggle himself into the Omaticaya hometree." she takes a bite of her food and continues. "For some reason I cannot fathom, they chose you. God help us all.

I sat in the control room next to Selfridge and Quaritch, a holographic map in front of me.
"The Jarhead clan?" Quaritch laughed. "and that worked?"
I nodded "Yeah. They want to study me. See if I can learn to be one of them."
"That's how you seize the initiative." Quaritch replied. "I wish I had ten more like you."
"Look Sully." Selfridge said. "Find out what these blue monkeys want. We tried giving them medicine, education, roads! But no, they like mud. And I wouldn't care except," he swiped across the table and hovered over the hometree. "Their damn village is sitting over the richest unobtanium for a hundred klicks in any direction. Which sucks, for them, because they're gonna have to relocate."
"Maybe I could convince they to go peacefully if they trust me." I suggested.
"That not a bad idea." Quaritch admitted. "But you've got three months. Then we're going in regardless."

As I'm going through the lab, Grace is showing my member of the tribe so I remember them.
"Tsu'tey, Mo'at, Eytukan."
"He's the clan leader." Grace said, then she gestured towards Mo'at, "and she's the spiritual leader. Like a shaman."
She continued to scroll through the image as I recited their names. "Neytiri, Y/N. Oh and, who's Eywa?" I ask.
"WHO'S EYWA!?" Norm shouts. "Only their deity. Their Great Mother. The goddess made up of all living things. You'd know that if you had any training whatsoever."
I push myself up into the link. I lie down and Grace says "Mo'at's children were my best student. Neytiri, Sylwanin and Y/N."
"I didn't met the other sister?" I questioned.
"She's died." Grace said matter-of-factly. Then I realised why Y/N didn't want to talk about learning English. But what happened? "Okay, let's go" she beckoned, "village starts early."
She then closed the link and turned it on as I transferred into my avatar.
