(Y/N) pov

Jake suddenly shot awake, causing me to let out a relieved sigh and embraced him. He patted me on the back to comfort me.

"I love you." he whispered to me before he quickly stood up and walk over to my father.

The clan gathered around them as Jake stood in the middle with Grace off to the side. I walked and stood next my father, waiting for what Jake was going to say.

"Eytukan, I have something to say, to everyone." he said.

"Speak Jakesully." My father replied.

"A great evil is upon us. The Sky People are coming to destroy Hometree. They will be here soon." Gasps filled the room as people looked at each other in fear and confusion, I looked at Jake, worry filling my eyes. "You have to leave or you will die."

"Are you certain of this?" My mother asked.

Jake looked at me briefly before continuing. "They sent me here to learn your ways. So one day I could bring this message, and you would believe it."

I stepped towards him, tears slowly pooling in the corners of my eyes. "What I are you saying Jake?" I questioned. "You knew this would happen?"

He looked towards the ground. "Yes." He admitted. "At first it was just orders. Then everything changed. I fell in love - with the forest, with the Omaticaya," he looked up at me, anguish written on his face. "And I fell in love with you. And by then, how could I tell you?"

I stepped back, tears now running down my face and my breath becoming shorter. "I-I trusted you!" I yelled at him.

"Y/N please." He said, stepping forward and placing his hand on my arm.

"Don't touch me." I said to him sternly. "I have nothing to say to you, leave here." I walked off, Neytiri tailing me.

"Bind them!" I heard Tsu'tey command as I sat down on the floor, hugging my legs and burying my head into my knees.

"It's ok Y/N." Neytiri said to me, attempting to comfort me.

"But it's not." I admitted. "The man I mated with was working with the Sky People and knew they were going to destroy our home and didn't tell anyone."

"Look Y/N," she said, "I know it hurts but we have to fight them off."

She carried on talking but I wasn't really listening, I just kept thinking about Jake. How he was working for the same people that killed Sylwanin and so many others, destroyed the tree of voices and now want to destroy Hometree, my home.

"I'm staying here." I said.

"What?" Neytiri said.

"I'm not going to fight them, I'm going to stay in Hometree and protect the people who aren't hunters." I replied.

"Ok then." She said, nodding and placing a hand on my shoulder, "just be careful."

I was sat with mother, the elderly, the children and those who couldn't fight. Suddenly, I heard a load whirring noise, as I turned to face it, it was the Sky People's machine's but they were different from the one's I'd seen before, they were flying in the air, but were much bigger the ones I'd seen before.

I turned back around and aided my mother in comforting the people as I heard the sound of arrow fire behind me. Then, out of nowhere, I heard a mechanical firing sound and then large canisters landing around us.

They began spewing out a white gas that caused as all to cough.

"Come on, outside, to the forest." I said, beckoning them all towards the treeline that seemed way to far away. I heard my father bark the same order to the the hunters.

As I ran towards the forest, I ran past Jake. He and Grace were tied up and unable to escape. I heard them pleading to but let go and thought about letting Grace go, but knew I had to put myself and my clan first so I left them and continued to run towards the sheltered treeline.

Abruptly, a flash of light and fire billowed out from Hometree as the Sky People began destroying it. The shockwave that came off of the explosion knocked me forward. As I landed, I hit my leg on a rock, reopening the wound I got at the tree of voices.

I winced in pain as I pushed myself upwards but Neytiri came to my aid, helping me up.

"Come on brother." she said, worry filling her voice.

As we kept walking away, our speed hindered by my injury, more and more explosion were heard and felt. I glanced over my shoulder at were the dreamwalkers had been tied up but no one was there, someone had cut them loose.

I would've been angry but I load creak could be heard above me. As I looked up, I saw the Hometree begin to fall.

"Neytiri, this way." I said, leading us to the side as others followed us.

As the tree slammed into the ground, panic became to set in, me and Neytiri, couldn't find our father anywhere, we walked through the fallen branches, calling out his name. A figure lying on the ground caught my eye.

"Neytiri, there!" I announced as we rushed over.

I broken branch and driven itself through him, impaling him. Tears formed in my eyes as I stared at him.

"Come on father, get up." I said as Neytiri stood there in disbelief.

"No, no." He said. "My time is over." He reached for his bow and handed it to me. "Take my bow, protect our people." He croaked out as the light left his eyes. Me and Neytiri began to cry as I heard footsteps behind me.

I turned to look who it was and it was him, Jake.

"Neytiri, help me up please." I said in a monotone voice. She notice him and understood, helping me to my feet and helping shuffle away.

"Y/N, your leg, let me help y-" he said before Neytiri interrupted him.

"You've done enough." She snapped back as we left. I felt an heavy feeling of loss and emptiness as the realisation that I'd lost both my father, my mate and probably many friends all in one day.

I just wanted it all to stop
