Jake and I rushed towards the marui where my sister was, about ten months had passed since the sky people left and in that time, Neytiri and Tsu'tey had mated and now, Neytiri was giving birth to her first child.

I burst into the small tent and saw my sister lying on the floor with Tsu'tey next to her, holding her hand. Our mother cared for her, ensuring there wasn't too much bleeding and her pain was managed. I quietly beckoned Jake inside as we sat by the wall to my sister's left. She wailed as she reached her hand out and I took it, giving it a comforting squeeze.

After a couple of hours, a baby was in Neytiri's arms. "He's beautiful," she muttered breathlessly, "I'm going to call him Neteyam."

Since Neytiri gave birth, I'd been helping her look after Neteyam while Tsu'tey was out hunting. I'd fallen in love with the little na'vi child, viewing him like my own. After a day of looking after him, I returned to mine and Jake's marui to see him sitting by our bed, sharpening his knife.

I sat next to him and planted a kiss on his cheek.

"How was your day, my love?" I asked him, placing my hand on his shoulder.

"It was good, I killed a hexapede for the tribe, how was yours?" He asked.

"It was great," I replied excitedly. "I had a great day with Neytiri and Neteyam, I'm always so shocked at how much he's grown in just 2 months."

"Actually," Jake said. "I wanted to ask you something."

I looked at him a little worried, wondering what the question was, but nodded.

"Would you - would you want to have a kid together?" He questioned wearily.

I looked at him for a second, confused. "Jake, you do know that male na'vi can't get pregnant right?"

He looked at me for a second, confused, and then laughed. He laughed so hard that he fell backwards so that he was rolling around on the floor in laughter.

"What's so funny?" I asked, almost offended at how funny he found it.

"I know you can't get pregnant silly!" He said between breaths of laughter, "It's just, on Earth, we have a concept where two people who can't have a child ask someone else to do it for them. I was wondering if Neytiri would be willing to carry a child for us."

"I - I don't see why not," I said, a smile starting to dance on my lips. "I'll have to ask her tomorrow though."

"Of course," he said, clambering onto our bed and lying down. I lay down next to him as he pulled me into his side and let me lie my head on his chest. I closed my eyes and let myself think of a child of my own as I listened to his heartbeat and drifted off to sleep.

Nine months later, we welcomed our son into the world, Lo'ak. Unlike Neteyam, Lo'ak had 4 fingers rather than three. But I didn't care, I was just so happy to have a child of my own. I thanked Neytiri profusely for being for us, despite having only just had Neteyam at the time.

Me and Jake now had a family.
