(Y/N) pov

Jake's been here for about a month now. He has really embraced our culture and his language skill is much better but still not great. He's been spending a lot of time around my sister, Neytiri, which she keeps rubbing in my face.

The day began and when I woke up, Jake and Neytiri were already gone, they were together all the time and, as much I hate to admit it, I was jealous. She was getting to know a man I was so interested in.

I walked into the main part of Hometree, ready for the day and saw some of the na'vi lifting a carcass off of a pa'li and I walked over to them.

"Need some help?" I asked, wanting to distract myself from my current fixation on the dreamwalker.

"Sure, thanks Y/N." The na'vi man said.

"Allow me" A man behind me said. I turned around and it was Jake.

"Oh, good morning." I said, in an almost monotone voice.

"Hey," he grinned, "could I spend the day with you today?"

"Oh - sure." I said, slightly shocked. Why did he suddenly want to spend time with me, and where was he early. Questions raced through my mind as my body went on autopilot. I lifted down the dead hexapede and Jake walk over to me.

"So we doing?" he asked.

"I was thinking I could watch you hunt again, it's been a while." I suggested.

He picked up a bow as we walked into the jungle. He stood in a clearing, slouching and squinting to try and focus on the animal he was looking at. I walked up to him, placing my hand on his back and straightened his posture.

"Don't squint." I muttered. "It makes you slouch." I looked at him and realised how close we were, I blushed soft and scurried away. "Make the shot." I suggested.

He shot the arrow and missed the beast, causing to to run away He sighed, sounding defeated.

"Don't feel bad," I said, "you haven't done it in a while." I reassured him.

"Sorry." He said. "I know you have high expectation for me."

"Not really." He said honestly.

He glared at me and hit my arm playfully. "At least you can hit something" I teased, earning another slap.

The day went on and no kills where made, so we returned emptyhanded.

I looked at him confused. "Why didn't you go with Neytiri today?" I asked.

"I wanted to spend time with you." he confessed. "And also to asked you something."

"Anything." I reply.

"What happened to your sister?" he asked. "Sylwanin."

I looked at him shocked, but caved, somehow trusting him. "She was my eldest sister, me, her and Neytiri all went to Grace's school to learn about the sky people." He looked at me, curiously. "One day, the sky people started bulldozing trees, which made Sylwanin and the other older kids angry, so they stopped coming to school. Then one day they ran in, having burned a bulldozer hoping Grace would protect them."

= FLASHBACK =

Sylwanin and her friends burst through the doors of Grace's school, covered in na'vi warpaint.

They scrambled inside and Sylwanin asked. "Grace, w-will you protected us?"

Grace nodded and let them in but then sky people arrived outside and asked to see my sister. I hid behind Neytiri, scared of what would happen, they then burst through the door and na'vi around me started falling other as my sister's and Grace starting screaming and crying.

Then Sylwanin stood up and shouted something before falling over in front of me. Grace towered about me and my sister, yelling something at the sky people before they left. I walked over the Sylwanin and started shaking her while Neytiri was crying.

"Grace?" I questioned, "why is she not moving?" My eyes starting to get teary. ""When will she wake up?"

Grace bent down next to me. "She's not going to Y/N." Grace said. "She's with Eywa now."

"But she can't go with Eywa," I cried, tears now falling down my face. "she's young." I said and Grace embraced me.

= END OF FLASHBACK =

Jake looked at me blankly, clearing dumbfounded by the events of what happened. "I'm so sorry." he said.

"It's ok." I said. "It happened a long time ago now, she's a peace and we're safe from the sky people here."

Jake looked almost guilty for a second before patting my back.

"I'm gonna go off to sleep." he admitted. "See you in the morning."

"I'll join you in a minute." I said. I sat there for a second, reflecting on those events, it truly was terrible and his people did it, the sky people, just I trusted him so blindly. 'He would hurt us though,' I thought. I yawned, heading into my hammock. As I drifted off, thought of the head Sylwanin was taken from us filled my head

Was it safe for him to be here?
