Trisha's POV
The next day at school
Tawana: You're tutoring Adriano?!
I nodded. Tawana seemed to be having trouble processing this.
Tawana: Don't you hate him?
Trisha: I don't HATE him. I dislike him and I find him annoying. Besides, my mom dragged me into it and I didn't have the heart to say no.
Tawana: Okay, that's understandable because it's you. How does Olivia feel?
Trisha: Angry. And Adriano is surprisingly okay with it.
I heard the door open and Adriano walked into the class with his friends, Daniel, Ivan and Aaron. Speak of the devil. He stopped at my desk, looking at me with those...beautiful, dark eyes.
Adriano: Hey Trisha. How's it feel to be spending extra time with me?
Trisha: Like a nightmare.
Adriano: Why are you always so serious with me?
Trisha: Because you're always so annoying with me.
Adriano: I'm not complaining. If I can see this feisty side of you, I'm okay with it. See you later.
He winked at me and walked off. Him and his friends took their seats at the back of the class.
Tawana: *muttering* Gosh, I hate him.
Trisha: Why do you hate him?
Tawana: I just...hate jerks and players.
Trisha: Who doesn't?
Tawana pointed to the girls in the class fangirling over Adriano and his friends.
Trisha: They just like boys who are built like a Greek god.
Tawana: You think he's built like a Greek God?
Trisha: A little but looks aren't everything.
Tawana: But they do matter.
Trisha: Yeah but I don't look for someone with just good looks. I want someone with a good personality.
Tawana smiled, but it wasn't his usual friendly smile. Something was different, I just couldn't figure it out.
Later that day, after school
Dad dropped me off at Mr Richards' house after giving me a lecture throughout the whole of the car ride. Dad and Mr Richards spoke a bit before I went inside.
Ethan: Would you prefer to study in the library or in his bedroom?
Trisha: Um...I think the library would be better.
Ethan: I'll quickly let him know while you head there. I'll ask one of my maids to take you.
Trisha: Thank you.
He called his maid to take me to the library, so I followed. When we reached the doors, she smiled and left me. I looked at the big brown doors and to say I was shocked was an understatement. I pushed the doors open and stepped inside. My shock didn't leave me, instead it increased. This library looks like something out of a fairytale. There's so many books and shelves! How does all this fit into the house?!
Adriano: Of course you'd pick the library.
I jumped a little at his voice but I played it cool by continuing to admire the library.
Trisha: I'm glad I did. It's amazing!
Adriano: Y'know, maybe I'll let you borrow a book.
Trisha: Really?!
Adriano: Yeah but only if you tutor as well as your mom says.
I turned around to look at Adriano. His hands were in his pockets. We locked eyes and his cheeks turned a light shade of pink. After a few seconds, he broke the eye contact. That was the longest I've ever lasted. He cleared his throat and walked past me. I followed him and he led me to a table made for studying. There were a few books on the table, and one was open. I looked at the cover and got a bit excited.
Trisha: Have you read "Ace"?
Adriano: Yeah I have...
He trailed off as if he said something wrong.
Adriano: I mean-
Trisha: You've read it?
He blushed and turned away.
Adriano: Yeah but don't think anything of it. It's just a book.
Trisha: An amazing book! If you read books why are you struggling with your grades.
Adriano: Reading books like "Ace" is a million times better than reading a textbook. Besides I don't read that much. I'm an athlete so don't think I'm now a nerd or something.
Trisha: Boys who read books are attractive to me.
Adriano: Of course you'd say that.
