Trisha's POV

I was busy getting ready for my big day, aka my graduation! Today is the last day I'll see everyone, and there's an after party after graduation. Unfortunately I won't be going. I thought I'd spend time with Dad today because I'd be leaving next week. Dad also invited Mr Richards and Adriano. But anyway, I'm excited to graduation! I've been waiting for this moment since freshman year, and I was chosen as Valedictorian. *sarcastically* Great...

I wore black jeans and a red t-shirt. I slipped on black sneakers and I styled my hair in an over shoulder braid. I made sure to take my speech before leaving my room. I went down to the kitchen to find Dad drinking a cup of black coffee. I could smell how strong it was.

Trisha: Good morning Dad!
Jake: Morning Princess.

Dad hugged me, longer and tighter than usual.

Jake: I can't believe you're actually graduating today. It feels like just yesterday you started highschool.
Trisha: Don't get all emotional on me right now. You can cry when I receive my certificate and give my speech.
Jake: I love you Princess and I want you to know that I'm extremely proud of you. I never expected you to be perfect. I only wanted you to have high chances of a successful career and future, that's why I pushed you so hard.
Trisha: I get it. I love you too Dad.

Dad kissed my forehead and we went to the car.

At the school

Dad dropped me off because there was still about 40 minutes before the ceremony started. We were here to practice walking and all that stuff.

Jessica: I can't believe we're graduating today!
Rebecca: Me neither. I didn't expect to seperate this soon.
Trisha: Guys, we shouldn't be sad. We should be happy. We're going off to study and we'll stay in touch.
Tawana: Yes we will because I need to be invited to your wedding.
Rebecca: Me too.
Jessica: And me.
Trisha: Of course you will. We're all kinda stuck in this friendship for life.

We all laughed. I will really miss them when I leave.

Tawana: Remember that friendship pact we made when we started highschool?
Rebecca: The one we buried in that time capsule?
Trisha: Yeah. We should dig it up later.
Jessica: It'll be fun to see what we buried.
Teacher: Alright students, in a few minutes we're going to practice walking on stage and receiving the certificates, and then Trisha Roberts will give the speech.

I felt arms wrap around my waist. I recognised the arms and I snuggled into his chest.

Adriano: Hey Princess. Hey guys!

My friends waved to Adriano and they left to give us some time together.

Adriano: Are you ready to give your big speech that's supposed to inspire hundreds of students before we all leave?
Trisha: Of course I am.

Adriano flipped me around and he rested his forehead on mine.

Adriano: No pressure. You'll be amazing.
Trisha: Thanks.

We were sitting in our seats on the left side of the hall while the parents were seated on the right side. One by one, we were called up the stage to receive our certificates. Lastly, my name was called. I walked on the stage and received my certificate. I heard Dad cheer and I held back laughter. It was now time for my speech. I stood behind the thingy and realised that I had left my speech on the chair. I started to panic but Adriano gave me a reassuring smile. I took a deep breath before stepping closer to the mic.
