The next day
Trisha's POV
Tawana had just got here. After saying bye to my mom, we were on our way to get breakfast from Starbucks.
Tawana: You've been pretty quiet.
Trisha: Do you want me to talk as much as you do?
Tawana: I don't talk THAT much!
Trisha: Lying is a sin.
He stuttered and then we laughed. We got our orders and sat in Tawana's car for a bit to finish eating.
Tawana: How was the session with Richards?
Trisha: It was alright. I think we might become friends.
Tawana: Oh...okay...
Trisha: What?
Tawana: Nothing, it's just that I don't want you to get hurt by...him... You're my best friend, I care about you. A lot.
He smiled and made eye contact with me. I focused on his eyes and along with a hint of jealousy and hatred, there was love... Adriano was right... ADRIANO WAS RIGHT??!!! NOW I HAVE TO GO ON THAT STUPID DATE WITH HIM! Well, to be honest I'm looking forward to it. I'm just hoping my parents won't find out. Trisha, don't forget to respond.
Trisha: Thanks for being a good best friend.
I smiled back and he started the car. As he drove us to school, I stared out the window. He likes me...and he's jealous of Adriano. How do I get myself in these situations?!
At school
Adriano's POV
I saw Trisha and Tawana enter the hallway. Tawana left and she walked towards me, technically her locker which I was standing by.
Adriano: Good morning Trisha.
Trisha: Good morning Adriano.
Adriano: So, any news?
She closed her locker and sighed. She looked away from me.
Trisha: When's the date?
Wait, what?! I mean, I knew he liked her but I didn't expect her to tell me like that.
Trisha: Are you gonna answer me or stand there like you've seen a ghost?
I laughed. She really isn't enjoying this, huh?
Adriano: Don't be a sore loser. Be happy that I proved someone as stubborn as you that I was right.
She mocked me and we laughed.
Adriano: I'll meet you after your dance lessons.
She nodded and started to walk to our class.
Adriano: How about I come with you?
Trisha: Nah, I can walk by myself.
Adriano: I just want to ask a few more questions before the pop quiz today.
Trisha: How do you know there will be a pop quiz?
Adriano: I saw the papers on her desk.
Trisha: And you didn't ruin them somehow?
Adriano: Nope. I didn't have the chance to do that, only to see the quiz and the questions. I also thought maybe I should leave it so that I can pick up my grades.
Trisha: *smiles* I'm happy to see you take responsibility for your grades.
I smiled back at her. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw people staring at us. Mostly girls.
Trisha: I'd be happy to help.
We walked into our class and we sat down.
After school
Just as the bell rang, I put my pen down. Our teacher took in our quizzes and the students in the class made their way out of the class. I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked out the class as well. I went to the boys' locker room so I could change for swim practice.
I put on my black swim shorts, grabbed my dark blue towel and my goggles, and made my way to the pool. When I got there, our coach was talking with Daniel while the other guys were in the pool. My coach called me over, so after putting my bag down, I went to him.
