Chapter 11: Drunk kisses

Trisha's POV

The next day at school

I was with Rebecca, eating lunch. Jess was gone on another trip with her parents and Tawana has been avoiding us, mostly me. Adriano didn't come to school today, which makes me sad and worried. He told me he wasn't feeling well after yesterday so he's staying at home. I want to go see him after school but my dad wants me at home.

Rebecca: Daniel invited me to the party tonight.
Trisha: Finally! Did you accept?
Rebecca: Of course I did! I'm so happy he made a move.
Trisha: Me too. He's actually liked you for a long time.

She looked at me with a shocked expression.

Trisha: Aaron and Daniel are my friends, Adriano is my boyfriend so they told me. Daniel also made it extremely obvious.
Rebecca: Actually, it wasn't extremely obvious.
Trisha: It wasn't to you since you didn't expect him to feel the same. And he does! I'm so happy for you!
Rebecca: Thanks Trish.

Just then, Eric, Lisa and Kylie (Olivia's friends) approached us.

Kylie: Hey Trisha!
Trisha: Hey guys. Olivia was suspended which would explain why she's not with you guys.
Lisa: We know that but we came to show you something.
Trisha: What is it?

Kylie took out her phone and showed Trisha screenshots of her chats with Olivia.

Trisha: There's no way this is real.
Kylie: It is, I swear.
Trisha: I appreciate you looking out for me but Adriano wouldn't cheat on me, and if he was I would know.
Eric: Alright Trisha, just be careful.
Trisha: I will. Bye guys.

They left and I sighed deeply. Aaron and Daniel then sat down with us, Daniel sat next to Bekki and Aaron next to me.

Daniel: Hey Rebecca. Hey Trisha.
Trisha: Hey guys.
Rebecca: *shyly* Hey Daniel.

I squealed upon seeing my bestie with her crush.

Trisha: Hey Aaron, I need to talk to you for a few minutes.
Aaron: Okay.

We stood up, leaving Daniel and Bekki alone. Aaron and I went by the lockers to talk.

Trisha: Has Adriano mentioned liking someone else? Other than me?
Aaron: No he hasn't. He loves you, a lot. He's always talking about the things he wants to do with you in the future.
Trisha: Okay, thanks.
Aaron: Why are you worried?
Trisha: That's just it, I was overthinking it.
Aaron: Don't worry, Adriano wouldn't cheat on you. And if he ever does I'll be there to knock some sense into him, and maybe then I'd take you for myself.

We laughed.

Trisha: Thanks Aaron.
Aaron: Anytime Trish.

The bell then rang.

Aaron: Math.
Trisha: Same.

We walked to our class, leaving Daniel and Rebecca together even longer. I really want them to get together. They're so good for each other.

That evening

I was relaxing on my bed when I got a text from Bekki. She told me that Adriano was at the party and that he asked about me. I told her that I'd check with Dad if I could come.

Trisha: Hey Dad?
Jake: What's up Sweetie?
Trisha: Can I go to this party? There's something I have to do.
Jake: Like?
Trisha: I just want to have some fun with Adriano.
Jake: *sigh* Okay, you can go.
Trisha: Thanks!

I'm so happy Dad is letting me go! I put on the dress that Levi and Damien got me and paired it with ankle boots. I put my hair in a ponytail and put on some lipgloss. Dad then took me to the party.
