The next morning
Trisha's POV
I walked into school feeling good. Yesterday was a good day. And also today was the day of our dance competition. Since our competition was in the morning, I was already in my costume. I ran into Bekki and Jess.
Jessica: Trishka!!
Jess hugged me tightly and I hugged her back.
Trisha: How was Australia?
Jessica: It was good but I missed you guys sooo much!
Rebecca: We missed you too!
Jessica: So, what happened while I was gone?
Rebecca: Trish is tutoring Adriano.
Jessica: Heartbreaker Adriano?
I nodded and she smiled.
Jessica: Yay!
Trisha: Why?
Jessica: Because he's your crush, right?
I blushed, making the girls squeal. Seems like they knew but they wanted confirmation.
Trisha: Yeah but he's Liv's ex.
Jessica: So what? Sure, they had some history but you really like him.
Trisha: Then there's also my parents.
Rebecca: Secret relationship?
Trisha: How would I even tell him?
Rebecca: Tawana told me about this party which Lisa is hosting tonight. Adriano is bound to go so you could tell him then.
Jessica: In worst case scenario, tell him it was a dare.
Trisha: That's not a bad idea. You guys will be there, right?
Rebecca: Sorry Trish but I have plans with my parents tonight.
Jessica: I'll be there!
Rebecca: Are you going because you're a party animal or to help Trish?
Jessica: Both!
Trisha: I'm just glad I won't be completely alone. But I have to ask my parents first.
Rebecca: You'll have to be very convincing and persuasive.
Trisha: That's my speciality.
I flipped my hair and they laughed. We then walked to our class. I wonder if my parents would let me go.
After school
I got home, with Jess, and we found my dad sitting on the couch watching TV.
Trisha: Hey Dad!
Jessica: Hi Mr Roberts!
Jake: Hey girls! How was school?
Jessica: Great and how was your day?
Jake: It was fine thanks. Pretty quiet and boring.
Jess nudged me to ask, so I put my bag down and walked towards my dad.
Jake: You want to go to the party Olivia's going to tonight, don't you?
Jess and I stared in disbelief. I didn't even say anything and he knows! It's like he read our minds!
Trisha: Well, yes.
Jake: Alright, you can go.
Jess and I exchanged looks of surprise and once again, disbelief.
Trisha: Are you sure?
Jake: Yes I am. You'll be 18 next week and I know you have a good head on your shoulders, so I'm okay with it. But I'll drop you off.
Trisha: Thanks Dad.
I hugged him, making him laugh. Jess and I went to my room, closed the door, and jumped on celebration.
Jessica: Now we have to decide on what you'll wear.
Trisha: What are you going to wear?
Jess brought a set of clothes out of her bag and showed me. It was a black crop top, blue shorts and heels.
Trisha: I would never be able to leave my bedroom dressed in that, but it's a nice outfit.
Jessica: Thanks! Do you at least have a crop top.
Trisha: I do but I don't really wear it. It's...tight...
Jessica: Perfect! Now pair that with your black ripped jeans, your leather jacket and boots and your outfit will be sorted.
Trisha: That sounds good.
It was a good idea asking Jess for help picking an outfit. She's got the best fashion sense out of everyone I know! And she knows exactly what I like. I'm not sure how the top will look on me but I have it and should wear it at least once.
