The next morning

Olivia's POV

I woke up kinda early to get ready for school. First, I did my skincare routine and had a shower. Then I got dressed in a blue crop top, white skirt and white sneakers. I brushed my hair and decided to put it in a high ponytail. I made sure my bag had everything I needed for today: my books, stationary, phone, airpods and makeup bag.

I then went to the kitchen to grab breakfast and I left with Lisa.

Lisa: Did you hear about Adriano and Trisha?
Olivia: No. What about them?
Lisa: There's some rumours that they might be dating.
Olivia: That's crazy! Trisha would never date him given she knows about our history.
Lisa: I don't know Liv, they have been acting close recently.
Olivia: That's because Trisha tutors him. He still likes me, I can feel it. Trisha wouldn't betray me like that.

At school

General POV

Olivia walked into school to see Adriano and Trisha talking to each other. They were smiling like they've been friends forever. Olivia felt jealous when she looked at them together. She tried to remind herself that Trisha wouldn't date him, but she started getting suspicious when they were around each other a lot more. Actually, everyone was starting to get suspicious. That's why rumours about their relationship started to spread, but it didn't bother them. Adriano and Trisha made sure to keep their relationship a secret and they confirmed that they were best friends. The only person that didn't believe them was Jessica and Rebecca.

Rebecca: What exactly happened at the party?
Trisha: We were dancing.
Jessica: And?
Trisha: And we just talked. We're actually not that different and we're pretty close friends.
Rebecca: That's it?
Trisha: Yes. No but our relationship has to be kept secret. I hate this but I can't risk Liv finding out.

The girls went to their class and as usual, the boys were right behind them.

Trisha's POV

I felt Adriano pinch my waist, making me flinch. I heard him laugh and I smiled. He held my waist until I got to my seat. I sat down and smiled at Tawana, who smiled back.

Tawana: So, I hear you and Adriano are friends now?
Trisha: Yup! He's pretty cool. Not as cool as you are though.
Tawana: Of course!

We laughed and then faced the front as the teacher started speaking.

At break

General POV

Tawana was walking to Trisha, Jessica and Rebecca when he spotted Adriano, alone. Tawana went up to Adriano.

Tawana: Hey Richards?
Adriano: What's up?
Tawana: I couldn't help but notice you and Trisha are kinda close these days.
Adriano: Yeah. What's your point?
Tawana: I wanted to tell you that you better not hurt her or else you'll have to deal with me.

Adriano laughed, almost mockingly.

Adriano: She knows what she's doing. I get that you like her and stuff but Trisha can handle herself. Besides, I don't plan on doing anything to hurt her.
Tawana: You're dating her, aren't you? I saw you put your hand on her waist thus morning. That was a lousy attempt to secretly do it.
Adriano: We're not dating. And that's not what happened. I saw a leaf on her shirt and I was taking it off.
Tawana: You're just full of lies aren't you? I don't know what she even sees in you.
Adriano: That's fine, because you don't have to know.
Tawana: Look, I wanted to tell you to stay away from her. I like her and I've been there for her longer than you have, so I think I deserve to be with her.
Adriano: She has a say in who she wants to be with. She knows you like her and she chose me.
Tawana: Just stay away from her or I'll make you!
Adriano: Try me. I'm not leaving her.
Tawana: You'll regret that.
Adriano: We'll see.

Tawana lunged forward, throwing a hard punch. Adriano ducked, barely avoiding the blow. He quickly retaliated with a solid punch of his own, catching Tawana in the jaw. Tawana stumbled back, stunned from the blow. The hurt and anger in his eyes were way stronger now. Adriano was determined to end this fight. Tawana then launched a flurry of punches at Adriano. Adriano blocked each blow, but Tawana's relentless attacks were beginning to wear him down.

Adriano threw a hard right hook, which Tawana blocked with his left arm. Adriano followed up with a strong uppercut to the stomach and knocked the wind out of Tawana. Tawana stumbled back, struggling to keep standing. Adriano stepped forward to finish the fight but before he could, Trisha had stepped in between them.

Trisha: What's going on here?
Adriano: Your best friend was jealous and started a fight with me. I was just about to end it, so move aside and let me.
Trisha: No! You've hurt him enough.

Tawana was thankful that she "saved" him. She turned to Tawana and glared at him with eyes full of disappointment. Trisha helped Tawana to the nurse's office and left Adriano standing speechless. When they had gotten to the nurse's office, Trisha made sure to check whatever wound he had. When she was done, she turned to leave but stopped when Tawana spoke.

Tawana: Trish, I'm sorry. I thought you guys were dating and it made me angry. I didn't want to believe that you'd like a guy like him, but I'm still relieved to hear that you don't.
Trisha: First off, no we're not dating. Secondly, who I want to date is my choice. I'm smart enough to make my own decisions, I'm not a baby anymore. So stop treating me like I'm incapable of leading my own life. And third, *glares at him* get your jealousy under control. When you're better, I hope you apologize to Adriano.
Tawana: He landed me here. Why should I apologize?!
Trisha: Who started the fight?
Tawana: I did but-
Trisha: And who couldn't control their anger?
Tawana: ...Me...
Trisha: I think that's enough reason for you to apologize.

Trisha walked out and Tawana stared at the ground.

Tawana: That was so stupid of me to make that assumption. Now Trish is mad at me...

Trisha then found Adriano walking towards her. He hugged her from behind and kissed her cheek.

Adriano: Princess, I'll apologize to him. I guess I did take it a bit far. I just don't like it when someone talks as if you can't choose for yourself. In fact I hate it when people smother your fire. But I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you angry.
Trisha: It's alright. I understand. Just don't do that again.
Adriano: Yes Ma'am.

They kissed and walked back to their respective friends.

That evening

Olivia's POV

I was scrolling through TikTok on my phone. I couldn't stop thinking about the fight between Adriano and Tawana. Why would the two of them get into a fight over Trisha? As for how I know, I overheard them talking and I saw Tawana strike first. I told Trisha they were fighting because I knew she could stop them. What I don't understand is why Adriano would fight over her. Well, they gave been pretty close ever since that party. No, ever since Trisha starts to tutor him. There's definitely something going on there... There's no way they're just friends... How could she even do that to me?!
