MONAMI'S ROOM

After talking with Sid, Param and Barkha, Karan entered Monami's room and sat besides her caressing her hair softly. While caressing her hair his mind wandered off to when he had seen her panicking and falling unconscious to the ground.

'Karan.' Monami called out to him softly and Karan looked down to her. She was awake and looking at him blinking her eyes like a baby, she tried getting up Karan helped her.

'Sambhal ke Rani Saheba, aap abhi bhi tired hai.' Karan said helping her sit straight.

'Tum kaise ho?' She asked him.

'Aap shayad bhul gayi hai toh yaad dila du waha warehouse ke basement mai aap behosh huyi thi ma nahi. Mujhe aap ko puchna chahiye ki tum kaisi hu?' Karan said chuckling and shaking his head.

'Shaant Khadoos Shergill shaant mai theek hu.' Monami said while entwining her hand with his.

'Kyu karti ho aese Monami, tumne toh waha meri jaan hi nikal di thi.' Karan said while caressing her cheek.

'Karan please.' Monami pleaded and hugged him tightly and he returned it back with the same intensity.

Karan bit his tongue and internally hit himself in the head for saying that. 'I promise you Rani Saheba mai tumhe meri tarah suffer karne nahi dunga. Tumhe phir se wahi puraani waali hasne khelne waali hamesha se cheerful rehne waali Rani Saheba banakar rahunga. You will rise from your own ashes of dread and nightmares and that's my promise to you.' he said in his mind and kissed her hair

'Acha chalo Monami, yeh sab baate chodo. Tumhe ek cheez batani hai.' Karan said while diverting the topic.

'Kya Karan?' Monami asked breaking their hug and looking at him.

'Woh darasal bhaiya aur bhabhi aaye the jab tum behosh thi tab, woh keh rahe the ki Khanna uncle ne humme aaj shaam ko dinner pai invite kia hai. Maine kaha unse ki tumhe puch ke batata hu, but I feel humme jaana chahiye you know tumhe acha bhi lagega thoda, but if you don't want to go...' Karan was cut off by Monami.

'Nahi Karan please chalo na jaate hai kitna maza aayega aur toh aur kitne dinno baad puri family kahi bahar jaayegi. Please please pleaseee.' Monami said with puppy eyes.

'Acha baba hum jaa rahe hai. Tum theek ho na par isse?' Karan enquired

'Haa baba mai theek hu.' Monami affirmed him.

'Acha theek hai mai bhabhi ko inform kar dunga tum change kar lo aur phir chup chap jaake khaana khau phir thoda aaraam kar lena. Baadme 17:30 hours tak hum log nikalte hai.' Karan said planning her schedule.

'Yes Mr. Shergill copy.' Monami said and got down from the bed and gathered her clothes from the cupboard and turned to leave but quickly went to Karan and gave a peck on his cheek and ran out.

'Puri ki puri pagal ho tum Rani Saheba.' Karan said with a huge smile on his face and shook his head fondly at her antics.

KARAN'S ROOM

Karan was getting ready for the dinner at Khanna uncle's place. He had also told Param and Sid about Mission Phoenix's plan and how he planned on helping Monami. Both of them though a little reluctant but gave a heads up to him cause they knew Karan was there to look after Monami.

While he was getting ready his phone pinged, he kept aside his shirt that he was about to wear and checked his phone. It was a message from Param bhaiya, they had left 10-15 minutes earlier since they had to pick a few of Baby's stuff on the way and would meet Karan and Monami directly at Khanna uncle's place. Karan typed out a reply and sent it when the door to his room flew open.
