CONTINUATION

'Papa' Monami said her hold on Karan's hand tightening and eyes glistening with tears.

Monami said and went ahead to hug her dad but hesitated what if her dad wouldn't hug her back. So she just settled to go and hold her dad's hand.

'What a pleasant surprise papa aapne bataya nahi aap bhi yaaha aarahe hai.' Monami said her voice full of emotions.

'Haa actually it is a pleasant surprise.' Dr. Mahajan said playing along.

Param and Barkha were shocked to know that Monami was Dr. Deepak Mahajan's daughter. They had known him for years and hence were more shocked remembering how Sid and Karan had said how Dr. Mahajan didn't want Monami to continue her training in the academy.

'Arrey bhai yeh toh humme patah hi nhi tha, ki Karan ki Monami hi Deepak aur Juhi ki beti Monami hai. Yeh toh acha hi hua saare families ek dusre ko bohot pehele se jaante hai.' Neetu aunty said.

'Arrey par Deepak tune bataya kyu nahi ki Monami ki engagement huyi hai aur woh relationship mai hai.' Khanna uncle questioned Dr. Mahajan who looked tongue tied, Karan quickly answered for him.

'Woh Khanna uncle hum inhe surprise dene waale the khud jaake, aur ceremony ke dinn bhi yeh city ke bahar the koi surgery ke liye hai na ?' Karan covered up quickly looking at Dr. Mahajan hoping that he would agree and play along.

'Haa haa Karan bilkul sahi keh raha hai, inn dono ne invite bheja tha par mai hi Mumbai ke bahar tha.' Dr. Mahajan agreed, Karan and Monami sighed in relief and so did Parkha.

'Offo ab sabke introductions hogaye hai toh, kya ab hum khaana khaa le?' Baby said whining with hunger.

'Haa haa bache kyu nahi waise bhi humaari baatein toh khatam hone se rahi.' Neetu aunty said 'Bhola bete khaana laga do dinner table par.' she called out to her house help who immediately got to work.

'Chalo hum sab dinner ke liye jaate hai, aaj toh inn dono ka favourite banaya hai aur toh aur Karan tujhe toh halwa pasand hai na woh bhi banaya hai.' Neetu said while leading everyone to the dining area.

 DINING AREA

As they all settled down for dinner, Parkha and Neetu aunty on one side and Moran and Dr. Mahajan on the other with Khanna uncle at the table head.

Baby went and settled herself on Karan's lap who made her sit properly.

'Baby kyu chachu ko pareshaan kar rahe ho, chalo yaha chair pai baith jau.' Barkha said while looking at Baby trying to make her understand.

'Nahi na mumma aaj mujhe chachu ke saath khaana khaana hai woh khilayenge mujhe.' Baby said with a small pout.

'Rehne dijiye na bhabhi waise bhi itne dino ke baad sab ek saath dinner table pai hai, aur toh aur mai bhi kitne dino baad apne Baby se mila hu.' Karan said while hugging Baby who hugged her back.

'Bigaad kar rakha hai tumne isse Karan, shaitaan kahiki.' Barkha said chuckling at her brother-in-law and daughter as they high fived in excitement.

'Sahi kaha tha tumne Param yeh dono sudhar ne nahi waale.' Barkha told Param who was looking at his daughter and brother and laughing at them.

'Aesa kya kaha tha tumne Param?' Khanna uncle asked curiously.

'Yahi ki bachpann mai jaise Karan Baby ko har jagah lekar ghumta tha jab bhi woh aata tha aur usse chodta hi nhi tha, waise hi Baby Karan ko chodegi nahi jab woh badi hojayegi.' Param said remembering when Karan used to roam around with little Saumya around the house and refuse to put her down for even a moment whenever he was home.
